Hawk Rival Micro $135 on Midway USA

Hawk burned me on their first batch of sticks with the suction cups. Broken out of the box and took multiple calls to get enough replacement parts. Not worth the headache IMO. Hopefully it works out for you.
Bummer you’ve gotten burned. All my stuff is Hawk brand. My sticks(4), mini and full-size platforms, my saddle and monkey bars ROS. I put the tether and LB ropes that came with my saddle on my bass boat, but still use their biners sometimes. I am very happy with my Hawk stuff and proudly have a sticker in my back window. I was kinda pissed off I didn’t get a sticker with each purchase, but at least I got a few.

This product would be okay except for:
WARNING: This product can expose you to Lead, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer, and Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP), which is known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to - www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.

PROP 65 warning is a requirement for anything potentially shipped to Cali. Not something weird.

Anyways, allegedly you can only get cancer from lead if you're in Cali :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy:

If they've turned things around and hit this advertised weight I'll reconsider my stance.

About 5 years ago I purchased a new( pre-light weight stuff) millennium stand a few years ago and the advertised weight was 8.5 pounds for the stand. When I received the stand I weighed just the stand and it was almost 10 by itself. That did not include the block that the stand attaches to. When I weighed it all it was just over 12 pounds. When I messaged them and asked about the weight difference they basically told me they don't weight their stands and that it's all computer generated. Think about how misleading that is... advertised 8.5 pounds and actual weight is just over 12.. The stand weighed 32% more than advertised..

Dude, you got more than you paid for, you should be thrilled. ;)

I think what irritated me more is that I pre ordered them anticipating that they would sell out. So I paid full retail of around $160 and they were selling for like $100 on other sites before they even shipped mine. Then they came with broken parts.

Sounds like a Millennium M7 microlite, I was annoyed also. I sold It and bought an assault 2.

I wouldn't trust Hawk's weight specs of 10 lbs and would look up reviews online that weight it. I know their climbing sticks are a good bit heavier than quoted (even with straps removed).

I'll weigh it again too.....I'll put a 10lb plate on the scale too to make sure it's somewhat calibrated. I'm curious myself but our bathroom scale is fairly accurate.

I weighed mine on a digital scale, without straps was a couple ounces over. It's close enough.

Sorry for the heavy cropping, I couldn't fit them on here otherwise. The 10lb plate came in at 10lb 8oz. (for reference) and the stand is 9lb 15oz. with a Lone Wolf strap. I added the pad on my knees for comfort and the hitch pin to lay the seat flat quicker and easier than the knurled bolt it came with. It doesnt come with either the pad or the pin. 20220203_172850.jpg20220203_172807.jpg20220203_171752.jpg20220203_171725.jpg20220203_174233.jpg20220203_173451.jpg20220203_171712.jpg

I’d trust that Berkeley too. I love mine! That stand is kind of sweet too…..just saying. If I could climb on it, I’d consider but I think I’m good.

I'm going to give it a shot at some point in time. I have a 6 step etrier I'm going to use in conjunction with an extra foot loop to get around and up on the base of the stand.

I am liking this stand - any other reviews or recent use?
I just hung it in the tree that once, the gnurled bolt that allows the seat to fold down is a little weak so I'd recommend replacing with a grade 8 pin or something equivalent. I'm 220 lbs and bent it. The stand itself is not bad and fairly comfortable for the price, just haven't had the need to use it with no deer seasons open.

Got it, thanks for the info.
