So I really need your help... I just bought my first saddle Cruzr XC size 2. Some facts about me... 5'7" and 170 lbs (fairly lean). In any case, I literally just received this saddle and like a kid in a candy shop, I put it on and tested it out last night. I hooked it up to the round support beam in my basement and holy crap was that an unpleasant experience. This saddle was unbelievably painful in my man zone. I couldn't help but think that it was possibly due to the saddle being too large since I'm on the border of the smaller size - size 1. The only other option is that I hadn't adjusted it properly. Any thoughts on what's wrong and/or how to fix it?

Are your leg straps too tight? Try having them loose or not wear them.

they aren't meant for you to ever hang straight down like a plumb bob

put on a tree with a normal tether length and bridge length and see how it is before you start messing with things

It sounds like you have your tether up extremely high and your leg straps too tight. Bring the top of your tether down around nose level so that you are leaning outward of that support beam, make sure the amsteel prusik wraps on your bridge loops are mid or closer to the high side and loosen the leg straps some. They don’t need to be snug. The saddle should sit under you somewhat like a swing, NOT holding you up like a rock climbing harness. If you are curious about any of the ideas mentioned, go to you tube. There are hundreds of videos on saddle comfort and adjustments

Agree that the leg loops should not be tight, but they must always be worn. If you fall off your platform or it breaks suddenly or a stick kicks out, you can slip out of the bottom of the saddle. It doesn't matter if this has never happened to you or your buddies... it can happen and the straps can save you.

agreed....i wear my waist belt reasonably tight though but leg straps not as tight (but always attached)

waist belt keeps you from coming out the top of the saddle and leg straps keep you from coming out the bottom...well at least keeps the saddle from going up to your armpits

some think they can fall, have a saddle pull super tight around their rib cage up under their arms, and then leisurely self rescue....that would probably feel like an anaconda was trying to squeeze you to death while you hang 20 feet off the ground

I had the same experience and others have noted your set straps are too tight. I wear mine very loose and don’t notice any man part stress anymore.
