Hickory Creek Koolaid

Two questions:
Can anybody direct me to how to tune a nock left / right tear?… not sure compound bow process applies.

And has anybody found a good way to hang it once in the tree? I really want to trust whatever I use with that bad larry cocked next to me.
You might get a field point test kit and bareshaft to see if you're shooting the right spine/weight combo. What range are you getting tears at?

The rest setup on these is as simple as can be, should be centered on each axis. Assuming that is done, almost has to be a spine issue due to point weight.

You could be hitting a scope or a scope mount. Silencers or the string itself.

Take it apart and put it back together and lock everything down.

The rest is as simple to align as you think it is. If you don’t believe it, make it wrong on purpose and shoot through paper to make an exaggerated tear, and correct it and see the change.

If all that is done, you’re trying to do weird stuff with your arrows.

Alright so I built a VForce arrow in 250 spine with an added 65 grains up front. What I’ve got is a nock high tear tested at about 8’ from paper; moved the rest up and down with no affect. Took one turn out of the top limbs and that’s helped a bit. I emailed Jerry will see if he has any advice. In the meantime will fiddle with slight rotations on the nock for rest clearance etc.

For future tuners, limb bolts maxxed out, bottom bolt loosened 1/2 turn fixed this.

Cranked mine up and still can cock it fairly well....thankfully! Still got a little more shooting to dial in and know all the ranges out to 40.....probably will never shoot that far but I will know how if i were to try...LOL. How many guys paint or tape their mini? It Isa little shiny

Thought about not posting this, but let’s file it under “yes prolly have more important things to do.” I like things that thump or thwap more than sproing. Don’t get me wrong I love this Mini but… I bought some 40 durometer soft rubber sorbothane and adhered it where I thought the bow was getting some vibration. I even stuck some felt down where the trigger wobbles back and forth. I then camo wrapped it; I like the looks of the wrap and would do more but prefer to have visibility to all bolts.

Long story short I do think it took out some after shot vibration. But the lowest hole in the bucket seems to be the trigger spring and some other trigger component. And I’m not going to mess with that. So no regrets for the hour and a half spent, but unless the spring and the trigger were modded it is what it is, which is still a great bow.2E515BD8-E7EC-49DC-9A17-BCF493FB6608.jpeg232D3894-9301-4304-A035-7315CA1D3A8C.jpeg

I've found for those in "that" stage of life, this is the best way to tote the Mini on a quick evening hunt. Assuming you don't think the trace odor of cheetos dust is going to ruin your hunt. :)

Well it is a baby to most of us. I sold a mini and deeply regretted it. Another one is on its way from Jerry. Now just need to dig out those car seats. I’m past that stage of life

Could someone possibly measure their bow for length and width while uncocked?

Shopping for a case and don’t currently have access to mine.

Well…today was the day. I received my new Mini. Thank you Jerry! Just in time for our archery season start on Saturday. I had one and sold it - like a big dummy. I had shoulder surgery a few yrs ago and couldn’t shoot compound anymore. I was able to shoot compound again this spring after rehabbing and figured I wouldn’t shoot the Mini anymore. Fast forward to the last month and my shoulder just doesn’t hold up like I was hoping. Not the pain I had but still sore for a few days after shooting. Just can’t do it the way I like. Soooo … back to the Mini again. I was so stupid for letting one go. This IS a deer hunting machine. I put a red dot on instead of the scope. I like the parallax free two eyes open of a red dot. After about 10 shots I am dialed in at 20. Tomorrow I’ll get out further. Absolutely love this bow!!
