Hickory Creek Koolaid

Quick question for the board…are the arrows measured 23” carbon to carbon or 23” to nock groove? I made up some 300 spine aftermaths and they fly like crap so I’m gonna try something else.

I have the DCA arrows from Hickory Creek. They are 23" carbon to carbon. I think the insert is 50 grains. I am shooting a 175 grain broadhead.

So I’ve been thinking of a “soft” foot stirrup idea for a while. I decided to give it a shot to see how I like it. I got 2 lifting 1/4” eye bolts, cut them to the same length as the original stirrup and ground a flat so the set screw would hold tight and not be able to slip out. I then made up an Amsteel rope with Brummel loops on both ends. I girth hitched to the eye bolts and now I have a “soft” stirrup. No more blocked view with my red dot and my larger boots easily fit.
In the pic, I have it “stored” hooked under the grip. I’m also going to make a “storage” spot that I can wrap around the offset quiver bracket. Either one is completely out of the way. The quiver area will be less prone to snagging walking in the woods. The grip storage will be perfect in the tree. Only downside I see is for standing it up the bow now will rest on the limb pockets. I usually hang it so I don’t think it’ll be a big deal. Going to test it out for a while to see the pro/cons.

Did same thing two seasons ago.

But just tied stopper knots and threaded through the old stirrup holes.

Great idea with bungee - adding that to mine.

I also threaded a zip tie with end clipped off inside the amsteel where my foot goes. Still flexible but pops the loop open to make easier to get foot in.

I've been wanting to drink the "Koolaid", and thought I found a used mini at an awesome price on Craigslist, but the seller won't ship!
If anyone is interested search "Hickory Creek" Baltimore MD Craigslist
Happy Thanksgiving!

Will this Carolina Archery Products whisker biscuit, I believe it's an original, work on the mini?
Seems as though it would be an upgrade from what the mini ships with?

Drink up!
I tasted the Koolaid today. Ordered new, less package scope, now I have to decide between scope or red dot?

Wyvern has a great price on the Hawke XB1 SR, anyone using this scope and know for sure if the brightness dial clears the string?

Or, one of these 2?
They've both been mentioned previously in this thread. CV Life and Vortex Crossfire
