Never shot a squirrel from the stand but I did shoot a coyote that was chasing deer.
I have eaten Opossum road kill a friend brought into work, it wasn't bad.

When I started out as a teenager I used to shoot at them all the time but it's been quite awhile. Not worth spooking a deer. Not even much of a dilemma now very few squirrels in the mountain scrub terrain I mostly deer hunt.

Never squirrels, but grouse on more than one occasion. Headshots with a revolver, on days when the grouse were cooperating but the deer weren't. Squirrels really don't bother me. And I have more red squirrels than grey ones; while I've read the read squirrels can be made palatable, they just look so scrawny I'd have to kill a bucket of them to make a meal.

I’ve found the answer I believe.

Been a few years but I did kill a couple squirrels with a blowgun. Raiders of the bird feeder. Doesn't happen all at once. Took em 20 minutes or so.
