How do you wear your saddle

Do you buckle your saddle over your shirt or jacket or under . Had mine under and it seams to push my jacket up exposing my back and belly.

I wear a rock climbing harness over my pants but my jacket hangs over that.

I use a home made saddle that goes on in the tree and just adds comfort not safety.

When in the tree I unbutton the bottom of my jacket to go around the belay loop on my harness but I have to be mindful of my under layers or my stomach catches a breeze.

I'll try to get a couple of layers on under the waist belt, but anything added after that is outside the waist belt.

A few weeks back it was -6* wind chill and gusting.
In real cold I wear the saddle on the outside.
It only took one sit to make my mind up.

Over my under layers until we get to late season. Then I have a problem with my outer parka riding up which exposes my butt/back to the breeze. It ain't so cool being cool in January. Sure I can buy new outer shell but I'd rather buy saddle gear instead! The other day I noted on a FB post that it's only a matter of time before someone develops a saddle specific line of clothing. If I knew a good tailor at Rocky, UA, Sitka, etc... I'd tell them what to do.

Over my shirt and pants and under my jacket. Any jacket that hangs below the saddle doesn’t go on until I’m in the tree setup. It’s a pain to climb and setup with a jacket covering your pouches and ropes. Especially with a backpack on.

I had the same problem with my jacket getting pushed up so I cut off the leg straps a belt on my flex and added suspenders. Problem solved, now my coat stays down and when I stand up the saddle automatically positions itself right were I need it.

So, you have the suspenders clipped to the back of the jacket and between the legs. Are you clipping onto the front of the saddle or front of jacket?

I will post a pic when I get a chance. I have dewalt suspenders attached to my saddle and my Sitka jacket under neath. Works great cause the suspenders keep the coat from bunching up and when I put my hands in the muff below my bridge I can keep everything pulled down. The problem with the flex was that both the leg straps and belt prevented me from pulling my coat down. I regularly hunt in temps below freezing as this has worked well for me. Also I never liked the belt for the walk in because the saddle constantly wanted to fall down. Suspenders also solved this problem

I will put on my bottom layers and put on jacket last also I use a longer sized jacket, not to get off the subject but is a platform better for adjusting your clothes I use a ring of steps.

I normally cinch the belt up tight and high for the walk in (above my pants belt and over my jacket). Then I loosen and adjust it lower when I get set in the tree.

I agree. Wouldn't be surprised if we see it next season? Who knows for sure. I don't think it would be hard for IWOM, HBS, or Artic to incorporate something into their body suits.
