How high above final step is your platform?

Not sure I see the benefit of setting the platform, and then setting a WE stepp next to it. I think I'm reading that correctly? Having worked with the 5 step aider some, it's my thought that you would set the last step and then climb up, and then set the platform, unless your thinking you are going to use that step off your strong side as part of your total platform. In that case it sounds like that would be the sequence. If your having a hard time setting the platform over your head, maybe bring one more step and set the last step( the one you'll use as part of your platform 2 feet above the last "climbing " step and your platform level with that step. It would require one more pound of weight for 2 more feet and the ease of attaching the platform in front of you at a workable height.
 
I put my predator platform even with my top step and 90 degrees to the left as others have mentioned. Allows me to tether in at the right height before stepping onto the platform.

It also made it really easy to partially climb down and move platform to other side of the tree when I realized I had misread the travel direction the deer were taking.
