How many deer have you killed?

I said I'd post my mounts. Here they are.

I've been bowhunting for 35 years and gun hunting for big game for 33, I've gotten at least one deer every year since I started but I usually harvest 2 a year sometimes 3 or 4 depending on the number of DMP tags. I've had a few blank seasons in between during my college years but not too many. I've never hunted out of state until this year. I've harvested two this year in NY. I'm still hoping for a buck in PA. This is the last week of the late archery season. So I don't know how many overall during my lifetime but I would say quite a few. I've shot deer with a bow, shotgun, rifle and muzzleloader. Crossbow's were not legal here in NY until very recently so I've not hunted much with one. I find it easier to hunt with a vertical bow but I'm seriously considering the Mini from Hickory Creek Outdoors to see how that will be. Sometime I'll post a pick of some of my better bucks that I have had mounted.

And how many deer you've kilt! 2 (1 with gun, 1 with BOW, 1 with bow not recovered (worst experience to date)

5 yrs bow only, scout hang and hunt, pack in pack out, last season 1st with saddle
 
im gonna be that guy..... 31 years old, started last season, 1 doe down by bow on public land in the saddle.
This past season was my first year deer hunting, I full time rv and travel for a living, for the last couple years watching THP and Born and
Raised outdoors I knew I wanted to try so I jumped in full bore last spring getting the equipment ready. A google search of ultralight tree stands (due to the full time rv) turned up saddle hunting so not only did I kill my first deer on public land with a bow I did it in a saddle with no previous experience with a tree stand
 
I'm also 62 years old but do not have the resume as impressive as Critter above. I am a very passionate bowhunter and have and have kept a journal most of my hunting "career". I have killed 40 bucks or so and many does and fawns. I suppose my life time count is around 100 deer. I haven't been skunked since 1986 when I was doing a lot of school work and fishing as an outlet. I probably average 3 deer a season.

37 yrs old from south Jersey. Been hunting since 10 yrs old and got my first deer at 15. Hunting local and travel mostly now. Probably have thrown 125+ deer in the freezer by now. I’ve killed deer in NJ, NY, PA, MD, and KS

If I felt inspired on a day and got miles back in rough country small bucks and does are very safe, probably even cow elk. 100 yards from the road it's more of a decision. If I'm going to kill myself getting it out I have to really want the animal. I like meat for meat, but not if I have to fight mountains and fallen trees for miles for it.

I am 48 and started late,maybe 10 years ago. I live and hunt in NY,at first with an in-line muzzleloader and then added a compound bow. I prefer archery over gun season by far. I shot around 20 deer.
This will be my first year in the saddle,so i am very excited about that.

Well I'm 65 yoa. from Ohio. I've chased whitetails since 15. The last several yrs only with an old muzzeloader and recurve, in Ohio and W.V. and Mich. I believe 65 deer. Also hunted elk and black bear and moose a few times. That's about 50 seasons. Some yrs not so well and others a bounty. But untold enjoyment and memories w/friends.

I'm 31 and have hunted deer for as long as I can remember. I started hunting on my own sometime around 14. Back when I started hunting , we didn't have deer numbers like we do now and to make it worse, we always had really bad properties. We overpressured them out of necessity and were lucky to even see a handful of deer a year. Public land was not as popular back then either, so we never hunted it. It took me until I was 19 or 20 to kill my first, after missing quite a few. If I had to guess, I'm somewhere in the 25-30 range. I'm averaging 5-6 deer a year now.

Update after the best start to a season I've had :grinning:

When you started: 10ish.. I'd say I didn't actually start hunting hunting til I was 24
How many seasons: Due to college and getting grounded from hunting 1 year in high school (long story :tearsofjoy:) I'd say no more than 14 years
Where you generally hunt: 100% Maryland up to this point
And how many deer you've kilt! 19

6 antlered, 13 antlerless
5 private (2 antlered), 14 public (4 antlered)
1 rifle, 5 shotgun (2 antlered), 13 archery (4 antlered)
