How often do you hunt out of a treestand?

I probably hunt 1/3 saddle in a tree, 1/3 saddle on the ground, 1/3 tree stand. If I wasn't about to turn 74 it would be 100% saddle in a tree but as the weather gets colder I lose mobility quicker than I used to and am a firm believer in knowing your limitations. :)

Im a treestand guy first, climber second and probably a soon to be novice saddle hunter. I have stands up on my normal hunting ground, (fixed and ladder, plus shooting houses) but I have a 600 acre piece that a saddle would really come in handy. I do have some Muddy Pro Sticks and a XOP Vanish Evolution I could use for a "hang and hunt, run and gun" scenario, but its a little on the heavier side.

I do some public land hunting in Michigan the first week of October and Ft.Knox, think the saddle would be the ticket.

Think Ive settled on a Cruzer XC and EDP Platform as of right now..
