HYS strap from tethrd weight limit question

Will this strap used with the Hero Clip hold a magnum caliber rifle safely?

Worked for me!
In all seriousness, I don't see any reason it wouldn't. Worked for me (albeit with a Qlipter as opposed to a HeroClip) and my Rem700 7mm mag

Did you use the clip to connect the strap or loop the strap through its self .......wondering how strong the little clip is?

I believe the specs say ~60lbs for a max load - not sure what you are hunting with, but should be more than sufficient. I girth hitch the HYS strap around the tree (and through itself, then use the G-hook (orange part of the strap) to tighten the strap to the tree before I ever hang my backpack on the tag end or hang my bow/gun from the Qlipter.
