I wrote this in the stand early one morning a few years back. I’m sure all us Whitetail Hunters can relate.
“Moon shadows fade as a murky dawn light rises. It’s getting clearer by the minute, still shapes hold no form. The ground teems and moves, or does it? Is that the beast I seek, standing in full array? Moving slightly, head bobbing or a dancing shadow here to play? I can’t tell.”
