In need of advice

If I go 150-175 gead?
least I’ll be closer not as grossly over . If I have to buy insert weights or a bigger head I can use the 125s on the boys Xbow
Look I have spent as much money as the next man tuning arrows. JSexton23 may be right. While the spine calculator is not God incarnate I would just say it will get you close. Use the one on three Rivers website and plug in the numbers if you get it close you likely will be able to adjust that arrow to fit you. If you can’t find your bow use a standard reflex deflects longbow and as close as you can give the measurements for what you have. Once you have it you can play with Point weight. You can play with arrow weight and length. This will save you money please try it out before you buy and if you have already bought then use it to figure out what you need to make those arrows work. Hopefully you will thank us later

For science I tried 300 gr field point bare shaft with 400 spine still pointing left

Increase your nock height to at least 1/4" high. Dead nuts level is not what you want.

Brace height....what are you at?

All these affect the arrow flight.

I’m 1/2 high now brace height suggested by Mike was 6 1/2

Brace height can cause some wonky stuff to happen. Also if you shoot three under nock height for me is usually about 1/2-5/8”. But the arrows were too stuff. Let’s us know how it goes.

I agree with the above comment that a 175 should be pretty close with the new shafts. If it is close but not perfect, you may can play with your brace height a little to bring it on into tune.

Typed this up earlier this morning but got interrupted and never hit the go button.

Archers paradox is pretty hard to see without a slow mo camera unless it’s extreme. My guess with 600 spines here is an idea if the wiggle worries you. Pull the tubes and try again. 600 with 125 just off hand without a calculator sounds reasonable for that bow. Also shoot a fletched broad head and then a few field points. Take a pic of the group. My guess is if you are weak on the spine (which you may be) they will not group together. Shoot it a couple of times and take a picture.
