Interests or hobbies you couldn't care less about.

Golf. 2 wheel drive vehicles. Snorkeling or scuba diving without a speargun. All sportsball leagues and especially fantasy. hiking just to hike. Video Games. Cats. Cruise ships.

There's plenty of hobbies or interests that I don't personally get, but I can respect that to others they bring them joy or calm or whatever it is they get out of it. Just like I don't expect anyone to care about or understand all the hobbies or interests I have.

What I could care less about is when people make their hobbies their entire personality.

I have way too many hobbies and interests, but none define me. I can understand the allure of stuff like a nice vintage car, a new gun, or even watching a sports game, but to make those a defining characteristic of your life is wild to me. I bought a new carbon steel frying pan recently that I was way too excited about and researched for weeks, but I'm not telling everyone I meet about it, not getting into tribal arguments about it and why it's better than all other cookware, nor posting photos of myself with it all over or wearing clothing about it from head to toe. And I'm definitely not getting into physical altercations with people because they like different cookware or their pan performs better in a comparison.
Should have gotten cast iron, just sayin :p

I used to buy and play video games quite a bit in HS and college, but I have a lot of friends that play video games and I mean PLAY video games. As adults. Once I got married and started realizing I could spend my money on bow hunting, the games took a back seat. I couldn’t imagine buying a new Xbox or game anymore. Total waste of money and they’re out of date in 3 years. Screw that. I can use the same bow for 20 years and still be deadly. Plus the pure enjoyment of being in nature far outweighs sitting inside playing a game.
Board games like D&D, and immersive board games with big story lines and rules. Same friends play those a lot too and have “game nights” with people. I’ve played a few with them but most of them are stupid and too clunky to understand on the first try.

I like video games well enough but I really don't get the draw of mixing socializing and video games. For me, video games are an exercise in solitude and self-isolation, withdrawing and escaping from the world. But now I gotta have an Internet connection so I can listed to a bunch of pre-pubescent mouth-breathers who have never met my mother talk smack about her? No thank you. And don't get me started on Twitch. Good for them for making money I guess but to me it makes as much sense as watching a stranger read the newspaper.

My wife and I play video games together semi-regular. Neither of us grew up with a console in the house so we bought a ps4 out of sheer curiosity when we got married. It's a more "together" pastime than tv-watching or scrolling. But there are more game I can't stand than I can get into. I like the goofier games usually. We bought a switch lately and it's kinda cool to have access to all of the NES/SNES games.

DnD is actually an embarrassing favorite for me. It's a pile of fun if you can get 4 folks together who have a sense of humor and imagination and know or can learn the rules. Just hard to find those people, especially if you're a South Alabama redneck.

It's the one thing I miss about college

Ok for me I never got into or had a use for things like volleyball, soccer, or gymnastics. I love fishing but can’t stand fly fishing. Last but not least racing, drag racing is boring enough but NASCAR is like watching paint dry for me. I’ve never seen a group of bud light drinkers more excited to see rainbow colored cars, constantly making left turns in my life  I just never could get into it

Where are you planning to move to when you are exiled from Florida for your disparaging remarks about NASCAR?

I would watch NASCAR if they would race in the winter with a couple inches of wet snow on the track... Now that would be entertaining.

Camouflage or key words hunting and fishing increases the price of a product substantially.

Companies trolling diy sites and posts for ideas and incorporating into their product for major features and price increases.

Pandering to 'lifestyles' that are clearly an affront to God. (Sorry really had to edit that one in.)
