It's just...a little crush... - Review of the JX3 Hybrid Saddle

I was having trouble hooking up on the lineman’s loop on my JX3 because of the location on the waist belt (Short arms and pudgy body?)....so I ordered some tie down straps ( 1” x 12”) and double girth hitched them on the lineman’s loop. This extended the loop by about 7” and now I’m a happy camper! 378D2571-D25D-48C6-AED0-F4C200D07393.jpeg

I had some extra rope hanging around and did something similar.

Watched a video by @kyler1945 about changing the stock bridge on the JX3 but did not get the length of the dog bone or make. Did any one get that info? Also watched the N.Y. Saddle Hunter video on DRT. Definitely looks doable.
I use the first one as my shorter bridge and the second to extend my linesman loop. It's very rigid so makes it easy to grab and connect to the linesman belt and both are climbing rated.

What have you guys that have been using the JX3 done with carabiners or ropes? Are what comes with good or have you changed some of that out?

i switched because I already had something else I liked. But what comes with it is just fine. Same type rope some other saddle companies supply. You’ll get 50/50 from folks on this - it’s your personal preference.

No need to swap anything out unless you just want to. Everything that comes with the JX 3 is quality. I use my tether and LW Handclimber as my climbing method so I have been paying attention to tether wear, but so far there is very little wear with probably 20 - 25 hunts in the Hybrid.

This awesome mega-thread has enabled another JX3 user. Just arrived. She's beautiful in person. Thank you @kyler1945 and everyone for the information here.

Oh man, did you get an email that it shipped? I placed my order the 23rd. Now I'm getting excited, ha
I got an email the day it was delivered. I had a bit of warning yesterday though because I got an email from UPS.

Congrats on your purchase. You have plenty of time to get everything dialed in before next season. I spent this past summer climbing with mine once every week or so. By the time the season opened in September it was second nature.
