I had a good friend (unfortunately passed on now) who was interviewing for a different internal job at our company. This guy was 60 going on 15 at time with a very teenage sense of humor (imagine Beavis and Butthead).

During the roundtable interview the HR person, a young serious individual, asked the inevitable "Where do you see yourself in five years?" His response was simply to turn and reply with a dead straight face "At home collecting long term, work related disability." Apparently the HR person's eyes went wide and her jaw about hit the table. She apparently took the answer seriously at least for a bit. Other interviewers around the table struggled to not laugh and managed to keep it together for a bit but eventually they all broke down.

After hearing that story I told him I was now stuck in my job because I'd never get through another interview without losing it at that question.
