well I’ve got my kestrel and have prob 80 hours in it so far. Previously I was using the neoprene and ambush saddle depending on the time of year. Besides a few a few tweeks like needing to shorten my bridge the unit is really solid. I did have an interesting one I’m sure some of you have run into but I haven’t seen mentioned. I had rain turn to snow this evening which froze my ropes (tether and the prusik knots) so much so that I could no longer move them

Haven’t thought of a remedy yet other then the ropeman which I will be getting
 
I tried an idea I had using a prusik knot....thank goodness it was during yard practice because it had me running back into the arms of my ropeman1 those things are amazing!
 
Just use a blowtorch to melt snow off your ropes!
