Just wanted to say............

This has to be one of the greatest forums I have had the privilege of belonging to, ever. Never a bad word. Loads of positive comments, great feedback, and unbelievable ideas. I don't know how or why this is, other than a great group of folks and fantastic moderators. Thank you. The things you have shared and taught me about saddle hunting is incredible. I have yet to hunt with the system but I am more informed and better prepared than anything I have ever tried in the past. I have assembled an incredible hunting system by copying and pirating the best ideas presented on this site. I can't wait for hunting season. I actually may have to try turkey hunting this Spring out of a tree :)

My neighbors probably think I am a bit off, based on my treatment of the trees in my yard lately, but I know you guys understand.

Pete
You are right on . This site is actually like a learning site and everyone on here is willing to help anyone with saddlehunting. These guys on here are the most friendly and helpful guys you could ever find I've been on many sites over the years and I'm so glad I found this one we have to give Red a big thumbs up for coming up with this site.

One of my smarter choices in recent history was when I DELETED my FB account, not just deactivation. I “one upped” my self not too shortly after, I sent the request to join SH.com. It has been a very constructive and supportive experience. Can’t wait to get to Saddlepalooza and meet some of you great folks! Thanks to all who make this site so great, its dedicated members and staff.

Yup, I am reviving this thread. This group has grown quite a bit since I have joined but overall the level of support, positive feedback and kindness of this group is over the top. For example, shout out to @kyler1945 for reaching out to me privately, sharing some kind words and helping me out. @swampsnyper was another great dude that did the same. Just a great group of guys. Thank you.

Now if only hunting season would start here in Mass so I could have a distraction for this site................. Pete

I’m just sticking around to see what you come up with next!

This site is by far and away the best forum I have been on. I think redsquirrel has done an outstanding job. I know it had to have been quite stressful the last couple of months for him.

All of the users seem to really want to help you and guide you to the path of enlightenment in saddlehunting. I just wish I would have ordered the trophy line when Cabela's had it years ago....I went with the summit climber instead. If I remember right, I had the trophy line in my cart.

I seem to keep coming onto the site about every 30 minutes to see what else has been posted and what other breakthroughs have been found.

I had trusted the recommendations of everyone and so far I have not been disappointed. I made a diy sitdrag. I bought the WE steps having never used them. I kept practicing with them with the intention of making a 2 or 3 step aider with them. Then I see the knaider/Swaider combo and was blown away. I made the parts and have been practicing my climbing. I keep tweaking with the setup to fit my needs. I ordered the mantis and i am patiently awaiting it expecting to really enjoy it. I may even make my own diy saddle out of what I like with the Mantis and what I like of the sitdrag.

Without this site, I would still be most likely be hunting out of my fixed position stands on runways. Thank you to everyone as I have learned a lot over the last year from you!!!!

Thank you for your kind words. I have said it many times but this site is a labor of love. I love saddle hunting and I'm really trying to keep this a friendly place where we can continue on the traditions that were started.

I think it's because grown men, that willingly wear diapers, probably have a softer sensitive side..... no real explanation for crocs and man buns.

If I had enough hair to have a bun, I’d do it. With my extreme receding hairlines and widows peak - I’d look like bozo with any of it longer than an inch. I’d grow long hair in a heartbeat, and I’m openly jealous of any man who can. Speaking of what happened to that @Nutterbuster critter that was hiding under his hat while slummin in his old school vintage kestrel?

Peter - YOU are the reason the forum’s great. Humble, innovative, polite and willing to share with others.

There’s enough folks like you to rub off of some of the sharper tongues around here (guilty) and keep the creative juices going.

Now, let’s all hug it out and go kill some deer. My season officially starts in 16 hours when my feet hit Missouri tomorrow!

Hakuna Matata!

This forum is pretty sweet. Honestly I really enjoy the humor and how laid back everybody is. Definitely different than the other forum I’m on. Still love the other place, it’s just a different atmosphere from one to another. Very nice to be on both though. Get the best the hunting community has to offer.

Real happy I joined. But like everybody else, my wallet has suffered. Heck I’m down to drinking hamms instead of pbr. Thanks @g2outdoors for the awesome tethrd stuff though

My favorite forum also..........THUMBS UP!!

Great bunch of guys on this site. Guys are willing to help anyone out. This site is the one site that I visit daily. Enjoy it very much. Had some private chats with some really good folks. I really enjoy the deer hunting con test with the teams and the good-hearted ribbing between teams.

This is the only forum I hang out on. Y'all are a good pretty good-natured bunch of fellers, and papa does a great job keeping things running. Forum is also super easy to use. I'd love to be on the beast forum since we don't really do a lot of talking about actual hunting sometimes, but that site hurts my head.

I’m really an anti-social media guy. I don’t have a Facebook or Instagram account and my experience with forums has been very disappointing to say the least. There are a lot of fakes and know it alls and down right nasty attitudes. When I joined this site earlier this year, I assumed it would be be short lived for the same reasons........well y’all have proved to me that it is possible that people, hunters and sportsmen, can be genuine and helpful. Everyone here leaves their ego at home and there isn’t any belittling or arrogance ( at least not unless it’s in jest). I’m here to stay! Thanks to ALL of you! I hope to be able to meet some of you in person!

This could have come out of my own mouth. Good words Nut!

How does one get entered into the contest and put on a team. My Saddle Hunter access was messed up a few weeks ago and I think I may have missed something.

Gotta agree. Just found this forum a few months ago, and now it’s the one I check almost exclusively. Lots of innovation and information. Been hunting out of a Trophyline for years, and I thought I was the only one... Now I found out there’s a whole community of saddle hunters...
