Ok don’t know but I’m sure its been brought up before but i have a kestrel and love it. Im thinking on getting a sit drag too for back up. Well whats the pros and cons comparing the 2. Head to head
And also the sit drag? What else needs to be purchased or attached to make it 20 ft high safe? Like the kestrel

Definitely lots of info on it if you do a quick search. G2's videos and bowhunter15's would give you all the information you could ever really need. I wouldn't think you'd need to worry about a back up.

But if you really wanted one, for $30 you get the sit drag and $50 you get a rock climbing harness. $20 for miscellaneous materials to get a bridge and then customize the saddle to your liking. So $100 to get yourself this setup is pretty affordable. It's why I went the sit drag route.

You'll definitely need a rock climbing harness (or any fall rated harness with a front attachment point really). And even though its a backup you'll want to spend some time practicing with it.

Sitdrag is a lot lighter and less bulky, even when paired with a rock climbing harness. I’ve actually been thinking of going back to the sitdrag. It was the safety factor and everything in one that pulled me to the kestrel.

Ya man he's DIYSportsman. Him and Boudreaux also have an awesome podcast.

Here's the specific video I was referencing:

Just my opinion brother, but if you've got a $100 dollars floating around give it a shot. It's not designed to be used at height but the rock climbing harness is! Maybe you like it better than the kestrel maybe not, but for me it's worth it to know. If you're just looking for a back up and want the cheapest option possible check out this thread:

A few bucks for fleece, a rock climbing harness and some amsteel and you're back in the tree. Once again the RCH is your fall protection.

Just another thought brother! Let me know how your weekend in Wisconsin goes! I'm heading out there on March 17. I'd love to hear how yours goes and anything to help this thick skull learn faster!
