Looking for any insight never owned eigther but gonna pull the trigger on a good pack. I’m looking at the door gunner or Tarahumara. Biggest thing I’d be carrying is 4 sticks but mostly have squirrel steps on me. From what I’ve read the Tara might be tad more comfortable but the door gunner has few more features pockets.

If I can lift it the kifaru makes it as comfy as possible. Ive go a nomad, cargo panel, dt1 and an amr. Ive never even heard a stitch creak in any of them.

I have looked at the popup but it’s like 5lbs itself. I’m trying to cut weight and don’t ever see the need for a load shelf.

I love my Kifaru pack. I running a reckoning for backpacking and stuff. I used it a little bit last year to carry my lone wolf hang on stand. It will carry whatever you can. Also love my hill people gear recon kit bag. I think they both make some quality stuff. Kifaru is king in the backpack world in my opinion.

I have a pop up and a Kifaru frame and woodsman. I’d carry the pop up all day every day for whitetail. I’ve owned 15 different packs for whitetail hunting, pop up best I’ve carried.

I cannot find a Connor so one of you guys should sell me yours or I got a platform and bunch of steps in classified haha.

Emrah ive watched your video couple times good job!

Well I ordered a Tarahumara will have it tomorrow I’ll post some feedback once get my hands on it.

I have no experience with either but have heard and read that both are high quality systems.
The pack I am currently using is the new KUIU PRO system with the 6000 cu inch PRO pack. I am very impressed with this system. The pack is functional as both a day hunt set up as well as a multi day set up. It is by far the most comfortable and well designed system I have used to date.

I have no experience with hill people gear but I have a lot of experience with kifaru. I own 4 different kifaru packs. They are bulletproof. Very well built. Be advised though, I own a door gunner and it is not as big as it looks online. It's about the size of a badlands silent reaper. It's a tall slim pack. But great packs all around.

I have been using a MR Longbow, a Kifaru BT1, and a Kifaru X-ray for hunting whitetails for 7 or 8 years. My favorite for day hunting is the Xray, but it has no real meat hauling capacity. You can haul a boned out whitetail, but it'll beat you to death. That pop up 28 looks like the best mix of all three. In your opinion, would the 28 consolidate to the point that I'd be using the Timberline for backpack hunting and meat hauling, while using the 28 to replace the other two for dayhunts that end with a boned out whitetail on my back? Most of my kills come out that way, and I like the idea of a slim hunting daypack that could haul a whole whitetail without tearing my shoulders off.

Regarding the OP, I have no experience with HPG. Kifaru, as others have mentioned, makes bomber packs. Same for MR. In the past, MR has been a little scanty on the load lift capability. They appear to have addressed that issue. Kifaru has had great load lifters for a long time.

Got any feedback? I’m looking at this and the Conner as new pack options

I Kifaru I feel it’s a better build than the hill people it’s been a couple years since I have had one though. I had a Connor 2 pack and just wasn’t all that impressed.
