A buddy of mine ordered a Kite last week and he said 6 weeks.

Ok thanks. Mid January still gives me 6 weeks to hunt.

I have a Kestrel it's my second year with it and it is a awesome saddle. Very comfortable but so is my Guido's Web.

I had trophyline, it rode up all the time. Think there is more to the riding up than the shape at the bottom.

I ordered a kite with raptor buckles today over the phone and i was told it should ship aeouns christmas. Can't wait to try it out!

So kenn1320 if it's not more material at the bottom to cup your ass and hold the saddle in place, what is it? No saddles in the pic ride up our backs and need constant adjusting but the mantis. It's clear in the pic is shaped like a bikini compared to even the kite. It's cool if you don't agree but back it up with something better than "its something else".

I have the Kestrel and sit drag they both ride up depending on how high my tether is. I have to put the tether at different heights depending on which saddle I’m in.

We tried every tether height with the mantis and nothing but I here what your saying. A bunch of guys are getting the same result we are but I'm sure a ton of guys like it. That is the beauty of it. 4:30am comes early, good night all.

I just told ya I had ride up issues with a TS. I haven't tried a mantis, but suspect it would ride up as well. I think the problem is angle of pull and how the material is being loaded. My diy doesn't move unless I move it. My material is always tensioned. Any of these commercial ones that try to make a pouch for comfort are gonna ride up unless your butt is the same as the one its designed to fit perfectly. My post above wasn't saying what you experienced didn't happen....just saying I had experienced something contrary.

I haven’t tried the Mantis yet if it’s worse than the Kestrel I will by a Hybrid!

My Kestrel has never moved. Heck, I have to reach back to see where it’s at because I don’t even feel it. I always put it on at the truck and clip in when I’m at height. After about an hour in the stand I reach back and find that it’s pretty much flush with my belt. I’ve moved it further down with the same comfortable results, but why bother?

I feel them dig in to my legs and my back mostly.

I would love to have a saddle that felt like that. I’ve had a few, tried even more. And none of them have been more comfortable than a $28 sitdrag. Yet.

Notice the bottom of each saddle. The Trophylines are flat. The kite is flat for a bit. The mantis angles up right away from the center. That is the issue for riding up.
Love that picture. I think it really shows how there's not as much difference between the various models assuming you modify them to suit me.

Got a little reality check on that for myself last night playing with my new anderson. I thought it would be substantially lighter and more compact than my kestrel. Not so much, really.

Never had an issue with any saddle riding up on me. Maybe it's just me.

Granted I’ve only used the Kestrel but I haven’t adjusted it at all and it doesn’t ride up. A woman told me the other day that I have a nice butt. That must be it! You must have the right shaped butt too! Lol

My cousins double sit drag is the most comfortable out of the saddles. He is doing a write up as we speak. Should be good. I'm not giving anymore away lol
