Lap link instead of a delta link

Yeah, I agree, why even show stupid crap when we know how many people are watching…..lead by example. And this is coming from someone who is generally a “play stupid games, win stupid prizes” kind of person….
Personally, I’m over most of Tethrd and hunting public stuff…. There’s some guys that seem decent, but some seem like herbs.

Lol…trying to untie one now! Any advice?

To be clear, moving from quick link to delta link….no lap link in my future unless some kind of very, very good rope containment device or design is added to the base design…even then I don’t really aeee how it’d be worth it…however! I can say that I definitely like a delta link better than a oval quick link!

It simply hasn’t been vetted by the climbing community yet, cmon man!
Exactly. This is obviously a game changer and since we don't normally use things within spec to begin with...

DISCLAIMER!!! I by no means endorse using this unless to voluntarily wish to remove yourself from the gene pool. All I ask is that you film it for our amusement.

I like these types of videos where you get a bunch of different takes on peoples setups. It’s not like you have to use any of it, you never know you may find the next cool thing. That clip that Ernie had on his stick was kinda neat, there wasn’t anything there that blew me away. But if I was just getting into things & seeing how Garrett loops just the one stick & stacks the rest…… those are the small things that make a difference to see visually. Carl’s whole demo was a disclaimer, I wouldn’t get too torn up about it’s viability. We could have an entire subsection of not promoted unsafe practices & this video link would belong there…..

Update: Lowes, Home Depot, Ace Hardware and Tractor Supply are all back ordered on lap links. :)
I have a couple at the house. Tried to use them for a back band application. Royal pain in the buttocks trying to keep them on the rope. Exactly zero chance I would use in any sort of situation where they would be loaded with full body weight.

The quick link is obviously January technology. We are in August now, get with the program.

This is how the lap linkers are looking at everyone else:

I used a rated oval link for years but have changed over to a Singing Tree Quickie.
