Latitude Carbon Sticks - Saddle Attachment Method?

Looking at the picture, it appears that between the two attachment points there is only about 6 inches of Amsteel between them, I could be wrong but that looks a little weird to me.

That was one of my fears when they dropped. Seems like the weakest link. I was stilled interested though, but I have a feeling that may not be the only one we’ll see in the long run..

That’s cause for some exponential pucker-factor right there! The question is: Are the sphincters crampin’ worse right now on the 1st season product testers - I mean - buyers, or on the owners of the company?
Owners :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy:

I wouldn't put it past someone these days to intentionally break one. Someone with a grudge or someone that is friends with another company. Being on Facebook with no story hard to say what happened. I will definitely pay at little closer attention to mine the next time I use one see if I see any deflection in that area. I am not too worried about it yet. If someone on here broke one and attached it right that would be a different story all together. There is something off in that picture, like others have pointed out.

I bought the Tethrd Skeletors 2nd version. Will play with these for a year and let y’all test out the Carbon and then I’ll decide. My buddy bought three maybe four not sure but he will keep me updated.

It looks like he went from one ear on the left side around the backside and hooked on the other ear without bringing around the front of the stick and crisscrossing it like they recommend.

That’s what I’m seeing. Both sides had one way force & looks like that side had the single loop with a small area to distribute the force.

So could be operator error? Just to compare. Is there any other stick you can say will break because of operator error?

this is what worries me. If simple operator error broke it, what else can?

Also, there was another break on a brand new set today, not a tie off but the whole bottom step.

It’s tough because I’m 265 and I pounded on the ones at the show with zero issue.

Where did you see that? Thanks

Really? Got any pics?

Oof, man if whole steps are breaking off even a few sticks that is baaaaaadd news

Might be a good thing I still got my beast minis. Gonna have to take all 4 of the ss sticks out and put them through the ringer would rather find out at ground level then 20 foot up.

No he did not share but it was enough for him to cancel his order and go back to his C1s, and I’m kinda regretting the same.

There was a picture of a broken step on C1s awhile back as well, but no details.

Will or may?

It was said that Skeletor standoffs were bending due to incorrect setting of the sticks.

It's been alleged that Lone Wolf determined snapped climber cables were the result of climbing at angles contrary to their instructions.

Probably we could find some more scenarios like these. Idk.

It is particularly precarious when a connection point for the attachment method is at risk of failure, in the case of the SS sticks. But you'd kind of hope folks would have enough foresight to really want to make that connection correctly.

Still it sounds like their could be bigger problems on the horizon with these sticks. Time will tell.
