Latitude Carbon Sticks - Saddle Attachment Method?

Gen 2's are running just fine for me. The recall sure was a hassle, though.

You see that guy here a few days ago who sold his set of five Gen 3 One sticks because he ordered these still-non-existent Latitude carbon sticks? I sure feel bad for that guy come the opener...
Yeah I guess that’s me. Lol
I’m not worried,I still have a bunch of climbing sticks I can use till then. But I do appreciate your sympathy

The marketing department saw people here starting to pick up the torches and pitchforks. Maybe they have the truckloads going out now. Or maybe they are trying to buy more time. I guess we'll find out.

Sad business practices either way.

Seems more like standard business practices. At least these days. Maybe that is sad.

But if the design is good and QA up to snuff, that'd be novel. So there's room still to outperform market standards. Time will tell.

From what I've seen Latitude reached out to the customers, and offered discounts and refunds. It would have been nice if those discounts could be applied to this purchased item, I don't believe that was the case. Still, it's not nothing.

These sticks are already less delayed than other lightweight sticks have been. If they land on doorsteps soon, they've far outpaced others.

Hopefully there's no surprise consumable parts on these and what not.

Oh, and if any marketing department is actually responding to torches and pitchforks...we're coming for you if you don't make a LW hand climber top style saddle platform...and we don't mean you XOP, lol.

I though some of the You Tube people would have got them first to Hype the brand. Still no new Vids.

Exactly. Maybe the "shipping now" means those 12 sets were scraped together and are going out to the almighty influencers.

It's always fun when influencers find the problems same as the General Public. We now know how to set a stick, lol.

If these sticks are a failure, it won't rest on delayed (...July) shipping.

There is a stylized video of Alex Chopp of Latitude stepping on them, lol. Posted to their Facebook today. It's embarrassing, imo.

Just me??? Quotes pulled from just this one thread:

Everydayhunter: Yeah kinda getting worried when they start pushing back at 30 day intervals. That pretty standard SOP PR response when the truth is “We don’t know”

Enkriss: Glad I canceled mine…lol

Horn: In 2045 they'll still be blaming supply chain issues on COVID. They over state what they can do, probably because the suppliers over state their capabilities. It's not a supply chain issue, it's people being full of it that gets passed down the chain

huntin_addict: I for one am hoping this is the case. If I don't see some sticks by end of July, order is getting canceled.

shmelton: It does matter what you have if your name is mud. Latitude just went with the information they were given. I bet they also put some fluff on the date given, probably a month or two. I’m guessing Latitude will suffer financially from it, but will the consumer? No, because they either canceled their order or impatiently waited. Either way, the consumer got a bad taste in their mouth.

GeoFish: ...You place a order. Get billed, after months the product does not ship. The company goes out of business. You may have lost your money. Happened to some guys on here with a saddle.

Plebe: Sounds like the folks cancelling orders are getting their money back from Latitude.

thedutchtouch: Yah this is making me less of a latitude fan boy because sticks were supposed to ship at the end of June, then early July then late July....

Plebe didn't order them either. No problem with Latitude refunding unfulfilled orders, I support and respect that. No pitchfork here. Although I think the product introduction was lacking substance.

My pitchfork comment was speaking to the unrest that was clearly developing in this thread. Perhaps that was a bit strong of a term, but the unrest was developing non the less.

Man give em a brake. They originally said shipping in June when I ordered them. Mine ended up shipping today so they missed by a month. Not horrible considering how backed up every manufacturer in this country is. Not like they were stuck on the slow boat from China like some other gonna be here then delay, delay, delay. At least the stuff is being made here and a lot cheaper then the China sticks.

We will see shortly if they were worth the wait.
Like I said before if you don't want a company sitting on your money then don't preorder that simple. I on the other hand wanted to make sure I had them before season so I don't really care it took one extra month.
