Latitude Carbon Sticks - Saddle Attachment Method?

Good to get some confirmation on the sound, the sound of the sticks (or rather lack of metal sound) is the main reason I ordered a set. Hoping that the occasional accidental carabiner tap during an ascent etc. will be less "omfg human here" to the deer. Time will tell.
It is definitely a less offensive noise when they are hit together then metal sticks but still pretty loud. It will draw the attention of a deer if it is close even though it isn't a metal sound. I would recommend doing something to silence them wether it is just a few well placed pieces of stealth strips or going with the Genesis stacking kit.

When I get home from Maine I got the genesis kit waiting for me. I will post what I think of it when I get a chance to try it out.

I got mine Monday, and I really like them, they are solid on the tree, anything from jack pine, rock maple, white oak and red oak grabbed all those trees really well.
I don’t have any Tethrd ONE sticks to compare with but to me they seem to have more foot room out to the sides.
They are quiet while walking through CRP grass and letting them brush against the grass, I always remember my ONE sticks making a loud noise while doing that , but not with these.
One thing that that I always hated was when climbing with my lineman rope and having my Carabiner hit my ONE stick aluminum step, these carbon sticks will be much duller when that happens now, it’s not Tethrds fault I do that, but these will definitely silence my mistakes.

Foot room is basically the same. The Latitudes may have a tiny bit more because their step is straight across and the One sticks step dips in towards the stick shaft a bit. It is a very small difference though and probably not noticed while climbing.

In my opinion both sticks are equally as loud with 2 different sounds. You made a good point about sticks hitting them in transport and a Carabiner hitting while climbing……. The Latitudes may have a sound advantage on those 2 fronts.

Got mine yesterday….. Nice sticks. Measurements are almost identical to the Tether One sticks in almost every way.

Latitude sticks weigh 20.5 oz each on my scale with Amsteel rope and Amsteel aider. Tethrd Sticks weigh 18.7 oz each with Amsteel rope and Amsteel aider. One sticks would be almost 1/2 pound or 8 oz lighter over a set of 4 sticks For you oz counters.

I thought the Latitude sticks would be quieter when banged together since they are composite but they are not……it’s more of a clud(like synthetic rattling antlers) sound whereas the Tethrd One‘s are more tingy metallic sound when banged together. I realize no one is going to bang the sticks together on purpose but just testing worse case scenarios. Both are relatively quiet when nested together with care. After market measures like Stealth strips could clean up some of this sound on both sticks.

Both are the same on the tree In regards to bite and foot-room.

Both nest together great with the same dimensions. The Tethrd One‘s seem a bit better only because of the little rubber tabs/buttons that insert in the holes and eliminate a need for a strap. Latitude would need a strap and a rubber one is shipped with the sticks.

Both are great lightweight stick options. I am only going to keep one set and not sure which set it will be yet.

Sounds like they are pretty even. Excited to put mine next to my hunting partners Ones and climb one after another. If all is as close as it sounds it might come down to price for a lot of folks, and if that’s the case Latitude is going to win hands down. Not to mention made in America vs China, which is another big deal to some.

I got my Latitude sticks too. I really like them so far. I am comparing them to heavily modded LW sticks, and I never knew how much I didn't like the versa button and cam strap. The amsteel rope with the X pattern and cleats is super nice. No fiddling with the length of the cam strap and such. And they do sound exactly like a set of those rattling horns.

I’m actually a bit surprised by the volume of contact noise in some videos I’ve watched. It’s far better than a metallic ting, but TN sticks definitely sound more damp in general.

In many ways the sticks aren't comparable, but on that aspect, having tried both, I wonder what's your take?

I don’t have mine in hand yet so can’t compare side by side. As soon as they come in we’ll put them in the tree side by side.

One thing I noticed when trying them out at the expo was the sag when you set the stick. Currently using daisy chains on my TNs with a truckers hitch and when pulled tight there is nearly zero sag setting the sticks. I wonder if, with some practice, one can set the SS sticks with little/no sag with the attachment method.

If you are really impatient scheels has them in stock

Season doesn’t start until Oct 1 and I’m confident I’ll have them before then. A few practice climbs is all I need. Im more concerned about figuring out how to pack them with my JX3 than anything.

That’s the one thing I regret about not keeping them an extra 24 hours. Should’ve taken pictures of them with the hybrid for folks

Lol if anyone sees them selling them tonight I'll drive out with my pitchfork tomorrow, 10 hrs...

Jk I'm not gonna do that but yeah that wouldn't be good. Hopefully they are smarter than that and don't piss off a lot of customers by trying to make short term sales.

Still holding out hope mine will ship by end of next week as they told me. Let's goooo Feb 6-15 lol

Edit: and call me a fanboy, but pushing back delivery dates multiple times because they made mistakes scaling up (with a USA based manufacturer I want to remind everyone) is still better than shipping out things that are manufactured abroad and get multi-recalled. In my opinion at least.
It's the end of the week. No shipping notice yet. Pitchfork isn't out yet but I know where it's stored lol

I cancelled my order and picked up a set @ Scheels, they had them in stock at my local store. Thanks @enkriss for the heads up
No Scheels out by me. Are they selling singles as well or 3 packs only? Edit: I see online they are selling either version. Ugh very annoying. If I don't hear anything soon I'm going to cancel and just reorder through them I think.

Ordering from Scheels is cheaper as they give free shipping. I didn't see an option for the aiders though but based on what I saw, I can easily make those anyway. Also to note, Latitude refunded my money in less than one minute after emailing requesting to cancel.

Edit: The aiders are also there, my search skills just need for refinement. SKU: 85003944727

I did see a note that the singles were low on stock when I just ordered mine.

Anyone that has them can you post a pic with another stick to compare the toe room on the tree? If they have more room than a beast I might try them…
