The knot used on the Method saddle Oplux waist belt is called a Blake's hitch. Traditionally it's tied with two wraps on bottom and two on top. They use one wrap on the bottom and three on top so that's what I did on mine. It looks like they just used an overhand stopper knot. I used a double overhand stopper knot on both ends. It's an easy replacement ... https://saddlehunter.com/community/...tude-outdoors-method-saddle.27580/post-406357
So then rope sleeves through between the mesh and the webbing going all the way around your waist?.....u dont feel that bulge of the rope after sitting for a while?

Yes. I did the rope belt mod last night and haven't had a chance to sit in it. I'm assuming it's just as comfortable. Once again, that's why I ordered the webbing belt version. If I don't like the rope I can easily swap them out. But I can tell you that the webbing belt is comfortable. I'll try to sit in it tonight.

I never noticed the rope at all while sitting in it. Thought it was more comfortable then my other with buckles. Since you slide the knot off to the side not digging into your stomach. The name of the knot is a adjustable bend knot. I emailed them awhile ago asking about it. Screenshot_20200811-143330.png

Nice. I'll have to see how it differs from a Blake's hitch.

I got my method today. I’m working on some drawing for my tattoo appointment tomorrow, but then I hope to go get in a tree. At first glance, I’m wondering if I’m still going to prefer my kestrel, I’ll compare them later and then explain why. Who knows, once in the tree I may feel otherwise, but there are a couple things I’m skeptical about.

Just spent an hour in the yard in the method and I gotta say its everything I expected. So many different options for comfort its ridiculous. You can move the pleats around to make it fit like a phantom all the way to a flex. Why own every saddle when you could own 1 that could do it all?(I know the answer to that).

I like the waist belt on this as you can always keep it centered up and tight. I went with the oplux waist belt and I'm happy with it, the knot stays tight and keeps the saddle in place just as well as webbing.

Onto the dump pouch. It may be my favorite to date. I stuffed it with my linesman, tether, 5 cam buckle straps and still and room to spare. No doubt you could fit a whole rappel rig.

All in all I'm happy with the method

Anymore reviews? What's the verdict on this new style? Very interested in this one for next year.

It’s awesome. If you’re size 34 or smaller, I’d say it’s perfect. I’m a size 38 waist and I had to sell it until they come out with a bigger size Really pinches the hips for big fellas. If you’re normal sized though, it’s a really great saddle. Nothing not to like about it.

That's good to know, I'm a 40ish waist. Hope they make a larger size by next year.

Me too man. I hated having to sell it and it’s gonna suck to watch all these smaller guys loving the crap out of it this year. But until they do, I still got the comforting embrace of my cruzr XC lol. But seriously, how bout that Method XL, Latitude?... You know you wanna

I am a 36-37 waist. The latitude was good if it was set just right. But I am sure a bigger size would be better
Lots to like about it
