So after playing around with this, I decided I didn’t care for the stock Austrialpin buckle. I don’t mind stepping through the leg straps. I’ll probably put a square of stealth strip in between the 2 pcs on the leg straps. I ordered a cobra quick release buckle from strapworks. I’m really pleased with this as I starting point. All that said I guess I just built a frankenmantis. I’ll get some tree time & video soon.
I ordered the 1 1/2” buckles from strapworks but would order 1 3/4” if I had to do over again. Didn’t have to sew it in. But did need exacto knife & seam ripper, for tag ends. You can stich back up after you thread it through, if you want. I didn’t get to that yet.
Too funny..... I’ll think I’ll end up with a mantis for comfort comparison. The only reason I didn’t, was I’m under the impression that the mantis is slightly more minimalist than the kite & the buckles. So for me problem solved. The predator was a no brainer!Great mods. You may want to add a Tethrd patch to it to tie it all together.

It's much better than the original setup, I haven't seen the leg buckles on the mantis but I believe it uses the same leg strap system with the g hooks
