Let's see them small boats!!

I keep telling myself I really want a canoe for my 3.5 motor, but idk how stable they'd be should I hit something in the water. Have you ever had a scary incident with it?
Mine is super stable. I can stand up in the back and walk to the front carefully. I have hit a stump in the the water with the motor running full speed with 2 people in it and it never got tippy

I have a 3.5 on a square back and so does my #1 hunting buddy. He put sponsons on his and it is an improvement, but I can put 2 folks in mine and fish or duck hunt with no issues. Not any more tippy than it is if you're paddling it.

Got out for the opening weekend here in Tn

You missed the whole small boat part huh?
Nice boats though and glad they bring you so much joy!
I did miss that part.... but in my defense in Hawaii these are considered tiny so I thought I’d qualify! They only bring me joy because I don’t have to pay for anything.... no gas, no parts, no problems!

Sweet choice of weapon.
I had a mission that year to shoot 410 limit of ducks on camera. That day I forgot the camera but secured the limit. Doh.

I've also almost always been the weirdo that shot a double gun. Rarely do I carry an auto, and rarely a 12 gauge. 28 and 20 are my main two gauges and I'll shoot the 410 on occasion. Usually when I'm in the timber or a small pond surrounded by trees.

Here's a pic of my setup the day of the 410 limit

Whatcha shooting to be able to hit geese 100 yards away?

The geese I killed with #9 TSS just off my left side ~30 yards. They came over the top of those trees in the picture (you can see my boat on the left hand side of the pic backed up into the sesbena grass)

The ducks were with HW15 that came from the old Federal heavyweight turkey loads back before they offered TSS. Used to buy the 10 gauge 2oz loads from Roger's sporting goods and strip the shot to load in 20, 28, and 410. 3/4 oz of the stuff traveling at 1350fps or faster will flat lay out the ducks farther than most people can shoot. #6 will kill big geese out to 50 yards.

I have a sxs 10 gauge that I used to duck hunt with some but that thing is a beast to swing on fast movers.

Shooting ducks with TSS is next level commitment but I bet it does wreck them pretty good.

I still want a 10 gauge, just to have and shoot a few birds with for the fun of it.

I hand load all my TSS and other heavier than lead loads, still crank out some straight steel loads occasionally as well. Definatly helps keep cost down.

I've met with the owner of these boats before. I tinker with fiberglass a little and have gotten supplies from him in the past. This Fish Hunter is 16', 60" wide. Poured foam under the floor, scuppers. I'm going back tomorrow...I may have found my side gig.
