I honestly couldn’t tell you what I have on my arrows (fire nocks maybe?), but whatever they are, they rattle like maracas. Is there a such thing as quiet lighted nocks???

I love nockturnal
Never heard a noise from them
Cabelas was out a few weeks ago and I was forced to buy glory nock
Was in a ground stalk situation and finally got within 10 yds and had a great doe 15 ft from me
When her head was behind a tree I drew back and the damn arrow popped off my string
The glory nock doesn’t have enough throat in it to stay on string
Threw them away!

I really like the fact that I didn’t need a pen or point on a broad head or field point to turn them off, just a twist and pull. I’m curious to hear everyone’s quirks about the different brands of lighted nocks.

There's a hole in the side where you use a broadhead, pen, other pointed object to separate the sensor. Not hard at all and the nock won't inadvertently turn on/off

Used nocturnals for a while but hate needing to dig in that hole to turn them off. Aggravating when they come on when you put it on the string. Luminocks worked well. Easy to turn off and on but the nock is cheap material and heard of a lot of failures. Could end in a dry fire.

I just got some glory nocks in and I'm seeing the same issue.

No, they didn't make it past the practice session in the yard.

I should’ve done this
I’ve never had to in years past, but I will now after what happened to me. I don’t get to hunt as much as I’d like so I don’t particularly like things ruining my hunt. Beautiful doe 15 feet from me and I was ground hunting. No reason I shouldn’t have taken her home with me

I have used Nocturnal's for the last 4-5 years...I had one of them i can think of that used to turn on in the quiver if bumped wrong otherwise i have had no issues with them. I don't find them too difficult to turn off with point of my pocket knife or the point on a screw in hook works too. I have not tried any others as i have been satisfied with these.

I used to use nockturmals before rage bought them out. And now theres always problems with them for me. I did some reserch and am trying glory nock this year, had to reshape the nocking point on my string cause its old and in need of a new one Will replace strings and cables with winners choice customs next spring.
I was impressed with the nocks at first once they started clicking on the string but i now know that the bigger ones like i have have issues of not turning on , others that use the smaller nocks say they have no issues but every one thats tried the ht nocks say some or all wont turn on due to the turnoff button malfunctions..
Its a drag cause its an well made nock and lighter then the rest of the ones for sale.
Ill be looking for somethimg else for next season unless they fix the issues.

This will be second season without any lighted knocks. I have used a lot of brands including fire knocks. I will no longer waste my money on these things until a significant redesign is made. Too many issues and botched hunts. Some times we rely too much on gear and not enough on intuition.

I use nocturnals. Shoot them two or three times each in the yard. I have had two that didn’t want to work right. They are on my practice arrows now. But I have loved mine. Probably saved me an arrow or two just this year. That is worth the price especially when I got them at half price from cabelas month or two ago on sale!

I generally don't put on lighted nocks on for practice until a couple weeks before season as, like many of you have noticed, they dont seem to last very long. I do find that what they add to a shot and recovery often arrow makes them worth the trouble overall. I started this year with nocks from Victory made for my new VAP TKO Elites. I have had issues in the past with lighted nocks pulling out of the shaft at draw so I figured these were made for this specific arrow and I would try them. Out of the 8 that I recieved (2 packs of buy 3 get 1 free) 3 almost never turned on. And 2 were extremely difficult to turn off. Then I had two break at shot. I wouldn't use them again if they gave them to me free. Needless to say I tossed them out before season started and went back to the nocturnals I used last year. I have some reflective tape that I wrap around the back end of the arrow, just overlapping the nock a bit for security on keeping them on and also if the nock doesn't light at least the reflective tape will aid in arrow recovery after the shot. Sorry for the long post.
