Linemans belt keeps you from falling?

So then suffice to say you should wear your tether going up in addition to the linesman? Something the gentleman you n this video above clearly did not do. Additionally, I haven’t seen anyone demonstrating a saddle climb on YT that has done that. Probably just haven’t clicked on the right video i suppose.
Or climb using a method that the fall prevention is built in such as SRT.
 
A lot of people wear both tether and lineman's lanyard. It is a little slower but it is safer. Just use your lineman's correctly and keep the tether above you with minimal slack.

I do this. Screamer in line with the tether too. To a redundant RC harness! A bit of a pain and I could still smash into a stick but it would take a lot of failures to hit the ground. Dad plans to come home in one piece from every hunt.
