30 here. I've quit drinking and black coffee entirely. Slowly realizing that all the fun foods are a no-go, and that in general my caloric needs are down. Fun stuff.

On the flip side, I'm more self-aware and mentally healthy than I've ever been.

Nutterbuster 5 years ago climbed 20ft up pine trees with a hand drill after paddling 2 miles and walking another half mile back into the swamp. Nutterbuster today rode 6 miles in a jon boat, walked 10 yards up the bank, and sat in a lawn chair for 3 hours before he rode back home.

No judgment. I’m coming up on 40 though, you still got more nut busting to do
 
I used to be the same way. When I hit 35 it all changed. I can eat 3 slices of pizza, and feel like crap.

Same here. My metabolism was through the roof all through my teens, twenties, and up until about 35. I used to be able to fill up and devour multiple plates at a buffet. Now 2-3 plates and im hurting and feel awful afterwards.

Getting a desk job didn't help things either.

I'm 40 now, and didn't pay attention to all the older folks telling me "40s gonna hit ya" and I'm like "nah its just another number." Now here I sit with a pulled groin that I somehow did in my sleep lol. If I lay in bed too long I'm sore. If I don't lay in bed long enough I'm still sore from the previous day. Getting up to pee 2-3 times a night. Ugh. What's next?

I turned 43 this yr. I’ve gone from 265 to 225 since January. I eat 1/2 of what I used too. I’m just not hungry anymore. I eat because I have to, not because I’m hungry. Also, sweets don’t appeal to me like they used too. If I’m at a gas station I’ll grab some pb crackers, or a beef stick. I don’t know how anyone quits drinking though. If I quit drinking, I’d go insane.

For whatever reason, my appetite seems to be increasing with age... I could always eat, just sometimes now it borders on ridiculous lol.

Cliff bars are awesome.....many flavors, relatively healthy, dense enough that they don't get destroyed in your pack....in the cold, I'll pack like 4 to 6 of those and a thermos of hot coffee and i'm good for all day.
Common misconception cliff bars are hot garbage for you and the little protein they do have isn’t worth the rest of the synthetic junk.

If you would’ve asked me the night before I quit drinking if I were to quit i would’ve said never in a million years. Knowing what we know about alcohol and the body it blows my mind people still drink at all, it’s been almost 10 years and I’ve felt better every single day I’ve gotten farther away from alcohol. The problem is it’s not taboo to society, as we can all see look what following society has gotten us today, garbage.

I’m 35 and in arguably the best shape of my life and I am the guy saying age is just a number bc it is, if your body can’t take the bread and pizza now it’s bc a lifetime of that garbage your bodies finally telling you stop it. Age has nothing to do with metabolism it slows down when you slow down. Sorry I’m in a mood today I swear I’m a nice guy lol
