Lone Wolf Custom Gear

Sounds like there jumping into the lightweight huge money game.
Beast sticks are sourced overseas and there getting $80 .
Confusing on the demand as most the guys buying are USA fans .
$400 is not going to sell many,
And these are smart business guys ,
They can be the Kings again by not over pricing there new gear.

Smart business would be to sell literally a ton of these at the $200 price point compared to some at $400. But who knows .... all I know is that I will not spend anywhere close to $400 for a platform.

Yeah, I'll wait to hear the price from the horse's mouth. I'm interested, but I don't have to have it.

I'll wait for the early adopters to start unloading stuff on the classifieds.
Like the way you think

With the XOP air raid coming in at $160 right now on amaxon I would be surprised if this came in at the $149 range... If they've done a solid SWOT analysis on the competition they know the predator comes in at $179 right now and there is a wait time.... they alreayd have relationships and clout wiht the manufacturing world as well as capitol. DOn't know if they are going US manufacturing or not, but I would say it comes in equal or less than a predator...

I think what you predict is fairly likely. That being said, I can also see them going for premium, top-down pricing based on name prestige. I know what I'd do if I ran the zoo, but I've been wrong before.

If you really want to get a share of the saddle world you can not come out with a platform over 2x the price. Right now people are over paying to get a platform but the hunting season is over so the price will go down because people will wait till the season. The predator platform will come in stock and hold true I would think in a couple months when the orders go down. Lone wolf has to realize this. They have to have someone looking at the saddle hunter site and know people wont pay $400 for a platform when ALOT of people do a DIY for cheap. Because of the name recognition I see it coming in at $200 they have room to sell for more because they are a well known company for people that are switching to saddle hunting plus the sticks stack with the platform so people will pay more for pack ability.

I see that as a totally viable option as well--but I wouldnt be surprised if there was an introductory price which is more inline with what is available on the current market(which is very little) then once they get the product back out there(i.e., the assisn hasnt been compared to the predator hands on by a lot of people because they weren;t available in the same timeframe) an increase based on desireablility and market share. we have to remember, the assassin is not "ultralight" but the gen 2 predator isnt as ultralight as the gen1 either... different niches??? not sure, but most people will only want one platform I"m guessing...

I don't see them as going for price leadership, but 400 is ludicrous. 200+ with appropriate USPs was what I was expecting

Unless they are bundling with a saddle or other extras.

I don't see how it could be $400. The alpha and the assault are right around $250 from lone wolf (not lone wolf customs... still trying to figure all that out exactly). I don't see how they could expect to sell something smaller with less material that is only 50% of your system for that much more than a full treestand.

I agree, someone would be a fool to give $400 for this new assassian. Espically when you could pick up an assault II for around $200 on sale and cut it down yourself.

have you seen the price of women's clothes compared to men's 50% less (sometimes 90% less) material twice the price because they will spend the money. hahahaha

I am a little shocked at some of the responses over at the beast. Andre was pretty much they guy that started the mobile hunting movement (as far as stands) and all the others jumped on after he introduced LW stands and sticks. Now so many are bashing the guy. Of all the folks I wish I could sit down with for 4 hours or so and pick their brain Andre is at the top of that list. I will probably pick up several items I do NOT need just because I think he is a class act - just like I did with Dan's sticks.

Should have seen the facebook page. Couldn't even believe some of the stuff that was posted.

I'm with you on supporting the guys who deserve to be supported. What some of these guys have done for deer hunting will live on longer than them. Least I can do is support their products they put a ton of time into designing, testing, and creating for us to enjoy. I have zero interest in other sticks after getting dan's, but that stand is really tempting. Especially when Dan hasn't released his yet.

I need a bigger platform for saddle hunting. Predator was too small for my waterski feet. Was hoping the lone wolf would be bigger, but it doesn't look like it. Will wait for the specs.

No way that thing goes for $400

The $400 price tag reminds me of why I have held onto my Assassin. Country of origin comes into play for me, as well. I may pay 1/3 price for Chinese made, (finances can force a compromise) but paying a premium price for foreign made "junk" ain't in my best interest. I realize it is hard to manufacture anything these days without some Chinese made components, but there is a point where you can no longer say "Made in USA". I 'll be watching to see where this LWC stuff is being manufactured, before any further purchasing considerations are made..
