Been doin some thinking...with my thinking tree (PVC pipe) and have an idea. May have been floated before, but here it is.
1. Equipment: Daisy Chain ( we shall call it the tree strap here), something like a niteeyes jam cord tightener and about 8ft of small diamteter cord (heftier than 550, but dont need 8mm climbing either. We will call this the platform lock
2. Secure the anchor end of the cord to the platform. Probably best to do it at both outside corners to some sort of "V". Photo1 (the gear in the photos is small representatitve stuff). Pull the tag end and anchor device topside and use as your "hope the platform doesnt fall" line whilst climbing.
3. Once you chest is about a foot below where your final platform hight is gonna be, wrap the tree strap around and clip in the anchor). Be sure to keep the non load end of the cord topsie with you. (Photo 2)
4. Climb up and past the tree strap and position the platform about a foot above the tree strap and anchor. Pull the tag end tight while putting pressure on the outside of the platform. Photo 3
Im gonna upscale and try it on a tree, but wanted to get you saddle engineers' opinion.
@DanO , pay attention...prolly gonna have to add some sweet ninja pully gear to the offerings!
