I used the gear ties most of 2018 and I just stood on them. I got rid of my last hand climber before the bolt mod idea came out. I just recently got another hand climber and put the bicycle straps on it so I only have a few hour of practice with it in the yard but that is my plan.Do you just stand on the while hunting?

That gave me an idea.. used bicycle tire, simply make straps 2x front door, 2x heel... Could do the trick.. and thinner to step on, and easier to push through the gaps, if you don't want to stand on them.
Lol dude that is what most of them are doingAnyone try this as a climbing method with tree tether, an adaption of "one sticking"?
Gotcha. Waiting on the second cup of coffee to kick in I guess.Lol dude that is what most of them are doing
Gonna do a little more digging and will get back to you if interested. Thanks.I have one I’m going to sell if interested.

Couple problems with that. One is it’s a cast platform and doesn’t have attachment points for the arms for the traction belt. Second is you are limited to climbing 8” or smaller diameter trees.Has anyone taken a predator and modified with addition of the belt and belt locking cam tube assembly from LW hand climber? My thought is that you would have the benefits of a the platform climbing method, but the ability to get the solid lock on the tree that the predator seems well adept for. Leave the upright of the Predator in the flat position as you climb using the "platform climbing method", and then when at hunting height use the Predator as original designed, caming down for a solid lock on the tree and a solid platform to pivot on.
I also already own a predator and do not own a hand climber, so that adds to my interest.
Is the LW hand climber limited to 8" diameter out of the box? I am confused on this part.Couple problems with that. One is it’s a cast platform and doesn’t have attachment points for the arms for the traction belt. Second is you are limited to climbing 8” or smaller diameter trees.

No but it’s limited to the width of the climber itself. Is the LW hand climber limited to 8" diameter out of the box? I am confused on this part.
