Lonewolf Custom's Ambush

I have been thinking of ordering one the last couple of days. It looks big enough to strap some back pack straps too and carry sticks with. Good early season setup with putting the rest of my stuff in cargo pockets and hunt.

They photos currently on the LWCG site show a nearly final product. You can see Brad carrying the Ambush with backpack straps with the sticks attached.

Yea looks like it will have the grouments like the stand got the sticks.

They confirmed via email it will be water jetted solid aluminum and not a cast product

It's actually a touch smaller than the original Assassin. Should come in right a 4.5lbs, which is pretty dang good for the size.

I'll maybe look at getting one next year when they are available. Then I will have everything I need for saddle hunting.

I have a predator platform. And do not care to go any smaller. But a little bigger platform I would add to my equipment.

Some quick updates:

Platforms are nearly ready to be assembled. They're still deciding on some of the hardware that will be used. Comes in at 4lbs 8-9 ounces (w/o straps, I believe). Retail price will likely be $10-20 more than currently listed, so $289 or $299. Backpack straps will likely be an add-on, although they're talking about doing a limited series like they did with the hang-on which includes the straps.

I think $300 for a platform is outrageous....but if they have 200 for sale I'm guessing they'll be sold out in no time. So I guess I can't really blame them for making that the price.

The backpack straps are spot on. I just bought a set for my M7. I hate that they don’t come with the stand though.

I'm sure they'll sell. The originals are regularly being sold for over $400. The prices I've seen people pay just to not have to wait weeks for arrival has been incredible.

Oh, it DEFINITELY is outrageous, no matter how you slice it. But it’s still cheaper than a used Assassin in most cases, and 3 lbs lighter for a better version of the same awesome platform. The D’Acquistos can almost charge whatever they want, regardless of quality. People must think they’ll kill 200” deer like Andrae and Cody just by purchasing overpriced (although well-built and genius design IMO) hunting equipment. It’s the same reason Dan Infalt can get such hype and bank out of his overpriced beast sticks. Regardless of quality, ppl think they’ll “hunt like a beast” if they pay the Beast’s asking price.
I’m sure the LWCG and Beast guys are great, and there’s no question they’ve slammed the hunting community with knowledge and experience. I don’t blame them for charging these prices at all, I just wish the original LW company would re-release the Assassin at $199 or less and give us a quality option at a (more) reasonable price.

Supply and demand will work itself out. Like @DelaWhere_Arrow said, Beast sticks are more than pricey, but Dan can't keep them in stock. Do I wish the Ambush was cheaper? Hell yeah. Do I blame them for charging a price that they know they can get? Hell no.

Sounds like they can keep it. Just like I told them with the sticks after waiting 3 months..
