Losing a great friend today

Sincerely sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Our dogs are very much part of our family. We almost lost one of ours a few weeks ago. He ended up in emergency overnight surgery to repair some still unexplained holes through his stomach walls. Its been three weeks now and thankfully he's doing better. I'm not ready to say goodbye to any of my boys yet.

Best dog I’ve ever had. Yeah I agree watching her decline has been possibly one of the worst things I’ve ever faced. Something about a pet just makes it so much worse. We’re prolly gonna get one of those silly pet portraits to memorialize her.

They’re not silly sir. My wife has pictures all over the house of ours. She took pictures of his paw on the table to have it turned into a tattoo for her forearm. I get it. I’ve lost human family that didn’t hurt this bad. I think it’s because they love so unconditionally that makes it worse.
