Lw hand climber/ saddle video

I’ve got a hand climber but have never used it for a platform or climbing. The reason he can adjust it with one hand is the width of the belt. I have one belt that is tight and takes two hands to adjust and I have a belt that is loose and can be adjusted with one hand. I like the one stick method right now but I may try this one day just to try it.
I also have a suggestion for limbs. I think if you had an aider attached to the climber, you could hang beside the climber. Take it off, pass the limb , step onto the aider and then onto the platform. I don’t see why that would’nt work.

Great video. I would tie my platform to my tether biner. But you look comfortable and that’s have the mistakes are because you aren’t comfortable with your gear.
I wish I could adjust my strap like that but not flexible enough. But hanging works for me.
I’m not sure if you could adjust the FayetteKong mod like that but I saw your belt hang a couple times where if you had the Summit cable mod I’m sure it would climb easier.
I’ve already posted on here that a certain company should make a hand Climber with a cable instead of belt. But they didn’t pay attention to me.
I think your video might change their mind.
Also I’m going to sew my two sit drags together as you suggested in another thread.
I will say I like my leg straps for hanging and adjusting the belt but to each his own.
Donnieballgame and I have tried presenting this system to the masses but very few have taken the bait.
With the right trees and that’s any where a climber works and more because it climbs much smaller trees then even sticks and Jim Stepp steps.

That Pine is less than 4”.
I think it’s the easiest fastest lightest less complicated way to saddlehunt but haven’t been able to sell it.
I don’t know where you guys are from but if you want to come to S Florida sometime when I’m around season starts here in late July early Aug. Your more than welcome.

Yeah, John and I wondered the same thing. If someone is going to use a platform, why not have one that can climb a tree as well? The hand climber can do both (fixed position and as a climber) for $160.
I do love the double sit drags...it's another one of those things that, for me, just works very well. I think John would vouch that it's the most comfy of all other than the Web of course. For your style, the leg loops might not be necessary. ..sitting in a swing is the best way to describe how it feels.
I hope someone realizes the advantages of this style of platform that can make improvements.

Yes he does make it look easy. You guys are doing a great job promoting the sport.
I got to hunt PAX River Naval Base in 2004 and 2005. I love Maryland and it’s a sleeper state for big bucks.
I’ve been hunting VA in Nov. the last 5 years and there’s plentiful poplars there also.
Would love to hook up with you guys sometime and swap ideas.

That picture was about the 8th of Nov. Had to leave on the 10th and they had just started chasing when I left. I killed a two year old ten point out of that tree.

If you look on my tether there’s a cliptor hanging on it like George said he put loops on his tether to hang his bow on. Great minds think alike.

Having the bow holder in the tether just seems like a great idea. Glad to see I'm not the only one! btw, that's a bruiser of a two year old.

So would having the belt tubes rigid help this to climb with for example a way to hold them down so won’t rotate once ready to climb. I have no experience with using as a saddle platform but have extensively used the hand climber setup. What else would make this easier to use?

Yep he weighed about 170 I thought he was three or wouldn’t have shot him. I passed on two two year old eights but it rained for five days out of ten and I was running out of time. I saw one good buck but he was 60 yards and didn’t feel good about it so he might be there next year.
Don’t know if you fellows have seen the Summit cable mod FayetteKong did but I’m converting both my climbers as soon as I get home.
Also don’t know if you familiar with the clipter but it’s a great tool for hanging stuff on because it rotates.

When I’m ready to climb down I unclip it from tether and clip it to lineman’s loop on saddle that way I don’t have to look for it in my pack.

This is awesome. I get my xop hand climber monday with 60 more days of bowhunting left. Cant wait to ditch the sticks/aider and camming platform. Time to get busy

So what exactly is George using as his tether ???
It's custom but like John said it's very similar to the old trophyline linemans belt. The webbing is as strong as any rope and quick v bar adjuster works the same as a ropeman. I like the strap cause it folds up to the size of your hand and I added molle loops to portion of the tether that's around the tree allowing me to hang lightweight stuff like my bow.

Could you post a pic of how you made foot loops?
These are straps that come with hand climber. ...they have a closed loop on one end so I lasso'd around the platform under the arm then used a backpack strap adjuster to make the rest of the foot strap. They work, but I rather have something I can cinch tight...still tryn different buckles.
