Made in China

Even if the beast sticks are machined over seas, the tolerances are still incredible and the quality is high. The great thing about this country is we can each decide for ourselves where we want to draw the line through ho we buy from. Lots of great products out there to pick from.

I don’t think anyone could question Dan’s love for this country.
Well said!!! Couldn't agree more with ya!! My hunt, my gear, my choice!!

I will settle for made in North America if possible. Canada is a trading nation. We produce a lot of natural resources. We depend on trade. But my preference is to buy from fair trading friends. Much of the pork I have produced for years has been shipped world wide. USA, China, Japan and other places. But I have bought USA made hog equipment. I drive an American made pickup. And a Canadian made Honda CRV. American made tractors and one made in Germany in 1977. I travel in American made airplanes to visit family. Some of your banks are Canadian owned.
Yes. I am definitely Canadian friendly. I served in Afghanistan and my unit worked side by side with the Canadian Army. Get guys and my brothers in arms.

Companies going to China for production is driven from greed and drooling over higher profit margins.

I am going to be more cognizant of where stuff I buy is made and if their is an American made version I will be purchasing that even if it’s more money.

That said I love my Sitka stuff but unless they move production to the states I have bought my last piece.

I really hope the US wakes up after this pandemic mess with all the shortages. Companies need to start getting heavily taxed for outsourcing. Especially pharmaceuticals... that is scary to think if China cuts us off we are screwed. I think I read 90% of raw ingredients for medication is sourced from China? Yeesh! They could kill off a good portion of our population by just stopping exports to our country.
We may produce the food they need but China produces a lot of things we need to grow the food. A double edged sword. Food is even more essential than drugs.

Not all of us vendors are greedy and looking for higher profit margins. Sometimes we are unable to get items made here in the states and we have no choice but to get them from overseas. I tried for a long time to get woven daisy chain and couldn't find anyone in the states to supply that. Same with the Kydex molle j-hooks - the inventor couldn't keep up with demand and I couldn't find a local company to make them. China is always ready and willing to take on anything and they are doing a great job on making those j-hooks (don't worry, the inventory still gets a royalty on every one sold). I'm all about keeping my costs as low as possible so I can pass those savings on to you guys.

But where possible I try to provide American made products. All of our aluminum parts are machined right here in Michigan from American made aluminum. I try to put on all my listings where they are sourced.

Came across this earlier while checking out the ongoing sale. Did they switch their accessories manufacturing back to the states?

Made in USA is always great but most companies don't do it because it's significantly harder to compete with those that outsource to China. Even the gear made in USA is usually made with "global materials". Sadly made in USA is quickly becoming a thing of the past. Wild Edge products are all still made in the USA, mostly in Texas, and there are significant costs that come with that title. Out on a Limb does the same. I don't blame Dan for doing what he needs to do. Made in China or not I don't see Dan allowing himself or anyone else to sell a product that doesn't meet his standards.

Blame your fellow Americans for the "Made in China" BS.

If you go to a store to buy a product and there are 5 of the SAME product on the shelves but from 5 different brands with the 4 cheapest being Made in China and the most expensive one being Made in the USA i guarantee your average American will buy the 4 cheapest 100% of the time. Even if the Made in the USA one is only a few bucks more.

So over time the Made in the USA brand doesn't sell as well as the 4 cheaper brands so eventually the store stops carrying the Made in the USA brand and only sells the Made in China brands because those are the ones actually selling.

The irony is those same people then complain and leave bad reviews of the cheaper Chinese product when it fails to perform. I buy Made in the USA EVERY time I possibly can irregardless of price. In fact, id buy from a company trying to do all they can to provide Made in the USA products over Made in China just for that reason alone.

IMO its time to bring business back to the USA, the globalism experiment has benefited nations like Communist China far more than its benefited the good old USA.
