Really hoping these get launched out my way soon! I am sure they are doing everything in their power. TN Bow season starts Sept.22, gotta get my tree legs...
 
I wonder how many Mantis they (the Tethrd Nation) have ordered from the sewing company...?
I mean...if I order it today will I get it with others who has pre ordered it or will my order take also some months(?) to wait...
 
It's a good question... I ordered mine a little bit back, maybe someone will chime in.
 
I'm getting a little frustrated with the way things have gone - but after reading g2's post on this thread yesterday(page 8) I'm setting aside those frustrations and showing my support for the tethrd group by being patient a little longer....From what I've gathered from others I trust
 
I think it is worth noting, that from what I gather, these are people who are somewhat new to the world of producing/sourcing/products business. Which has a learning curve of it's own. Part of the issue here is these folks are learning how to do all this stuff, and probably also that they released the information about availability a bit prematurely. I would say there is no issue with trusting them. Just give them time to get all the proper methods in play and learn their business. As they grow in this first round, they will only be better on all counts in the future versions of products they release.
 
I sent them an email through the website. Almost immediately I got a generic response back. You might try that to see if it answers your questions. My fear now is not about when I’ll get my stuff. I am more worried about the predator strap and the platform breaking. Also looks like rumors of a second generation coming out soon. I’d rather wait for it even if it is heavier.
 
I got an email yesterday saying my predator platform, linesman belt and tether were shipping. I ordered the whole kit when I ordered - saddle and everything in one order. Shipping me these items without the saddle has ZERO value for me! Its like buying a car and the dealer saying you can take the wheels home but they will send the car body later - what good are wheels without the car???

I personally have not received an email update from tethrd since August 18. What happened to regular updates on whats going on? All the scenarios going through my head as to why they would send a partial order are not good. I wonder if they are trying to get us locked in to needing the saddle by sending us this partial shipment which then gives us no option but to wait for the saddle no matter how long it takes?

I've been patient with this whole process, but this latestest development has me scratching my head and wondering what the heck is really going on....

Probably because they don’t have an answer. If they did, they would have posted it. When you have to depend on other people, you are at their mercy and most businesses don’t care about your problems. While in the middle of building my house and dealing with contractors, I’m so fed up with people, I’m gonna crawl in a hole when this project is done and hope I don’t have to deal with people again for a long time. We all know tethrd is doing all they can do, they are just having to deal with outsiders who can careless about their problems. That’s just part of presales. I wouldn’t want to deal with all the BS they are going through. Sucks for you guys that don’t have a saddle. But once you do, always be sure to keep a spare or at least don’t get rid of your current saddle before you have the next one in hand. BACKUPS FOR EVERYTHING! Except your wife. That’s just not good.

A lot of folks have gotten anxious and have wanted their gear to practice for the upcoming season. Tethrd decided to go ahead and ship the gear they have, then ship the sewn goods when they arrive. There are many folks that have a saddle of some sort already, and want their platforms, ropes, etc. to practice. Those of us that don't have one won't necessarily benefit from this, but it won't hurt, either. As a matter of fact, anyone could practice setting their platform at ground level on different sizes and species of trees. Get ahead of the learning curve, so to speak. The only people negatively affected by the separate shipping, is Tethrd. They're going to be paying twice as much for shipping by doing it this way, but they are doing everything they can to please us fidgity customers.

You won’t be locked in for anything. You can cancel your saddle order and get a different one. They are just trying to put as much gear in your hands that they can that you paid for already. Most people already have a working saddle hunting system, so anything new helps. They have no way of knowing everyone’s exact situation. They are now having to pay shipping twice, to get you the gear you ordered instead of waiting for everything to be ready and shipped in one box. They are not happy about the situation either. Just trying to do the best for their customers with the cards they are dealt.

Ernie had posted in a thread late last week that they were going to start shipping partials to get gear out to people to play/get comfortable with before season. It may not be a big help to those of you who don't have a saddle as of yet but it will benefit those of us that do as we can put the predator thru its paces a bit before season. Hang in there, have faith and it will all work out in the end.

It is typical for manufacturers to ship partial orders. Though you cannot use the full system it shows a commitment by the manufacturer to fulfill their orders. They had multiple set backs from the the 3rd party manufacturers supplying the correct products to the sewing manufacturer. Every time some thing like this happened, it moved the saddles & Predators back in production. In the scheme of things the manufacturer that is making the saddle is certified as is the Platform. They have been tested. The saddle and platform have been tested. I agree promises were initially made as to availability but I am telling you there is no safer way to hunt from a tree. The guys involved and the ones that own tether are trying there best to put out a high quality product in a very short amount of time. I myself have volunteered several times to move to the back of the line to help gents get there products. Though I was one of the first that ordered. Gents that have ordered in August are getting products. Both of the owners have regular jobs and families. One is in the army and the other is a PE. They are not sparing any expense on safety. They are taking care that we the hunter has a very safe system.

I guess what I am saying is Tethrd was made promises by their manufacturers and that was passed along to us. I truly believe that once things are caught up it will be smooth sailing.

I too am frustrated, but I have another set back, in that my wife will be incapitated from a hernia operation and we have children. So I volunteer again to be moved back. Greg & Ernie you may move order back again. @g2outdoors how about that kegerator now. Lol
 
Guys, you're really thinking about this a little too deep. Greg posted that he would update when he has solid info from the sewing source. He just doesn't want to give out info on shipping only to be wrong because the sewer doesn't come through on their end AGAIN. I can promise you 1000% they are doing all they can. I think we will be hearing some good news any time now, just try to keep in mind there is basically two guys handling this whole thing. If you sent messages or email over the weekend and didn't get a reply hang tight, we will get back to you.
 
Everyone - first of all thanks for the input - if it wasn't for this forum and everyone communicating what they know about the situation I would have already cancelled my order. And I agree with what ya'll are saying - and if you look back a couple of posts, I had sent some good words on the guys(for some reason it looks like the last part of the post is not there when I view it)...But when I saw the partial email order last night I couldn't make sense of why they were doing this....

I think if Greg had sent an email out explaining what was going on before we got the partial order email I would have felt better about it.

I guess we'll have to wait and see how this plays out.....

I understand. I remember them talking about sending out partial orders from somewhere. Either on this site or an email from tethrd.

I got a shipping notification last night! Looks like they’re doing partial shipments for those of us that combined them as well.
I’m sure it isn’t easy to keep up with all of these orders and split them up like this, especially while keeping up with other work and life obligations.

I just want to say that im not part of Tethrd as a business. However I have been here for years and have conducted sales between almost everyone on the team and the owners. They are all trustworthy guys who won’t sugarcoat things. Like stated by others this is a process a learning one especially for them. I can attest that if they were able to control the process from start to finish you would all have your saddles and this place would be a much more happier place. I was thrilled to receive my partial order even though i have a saddle already i had zero intentions of using my ropes and or platform without the mantis. Im particular which is me and me alone but I will represent Tethrd once it all is here i dont want to mismatch lol till then. August 18th was the last official email update and that was due to a huge delay by another manufacturer which was going to the sewing manufacturer.

The sewing manufacturer is top notch and has many QC checks along each step. Add this to the time it actually takes to sew one of these saddles makes it a longer than normal process in comparison to a treestand. Patience is hard especially with such an item as the mantis due to the hype that initially launched it but i can assure you the juice will be worth the squeeze!!!

I think we should also show a little lienency to Tethrd as first they made promises based on promises by the manufacturer third parties. It is the third parties that have held this up and to be honest if Tethrd turned and said we are switching manufacturers we would definitely not be getting anything till way late in the season or potentially after.

I look at this way we as a community entered into this. Most of us knew this was going to be a process and frankly expected a delay or two along the way. If anyone didn’t think a delay could happen i think you were just prematurely way too excited and left reality slightly. We helped Tethrd fund this and i can assure you that these guys are no frauds. Like I said i have known them for years through this site and for me personally i trust very few people let alone people I have never physically met. However, I trust these guys because prior to Tethrd it was all diy and by conducting deals between them and using gear they produced during those years I have placed my life in their hands and i am still here today to write this!!

The guys at Tethrd are average joes who work fulltime jobs, with family’s, and trying and will revolutionize saddlehunting as a whole. Be patient and wait. I promise you they will not let you down. Have faith in them!!

As far as platforms breaking goes there have only been two total and that was due to improper setup. The strap fraying is a cosmetic issue due to the torsion spring pin protrusion. I eliminated mine by bending the pin outward and since then has solved the issue indefinitely. I have run my strap back and forth through the buckle about 50 times with no further fraying.

Sorry for the lengthy post and appreciate anyone who actually read it!!!!
