Meat Grinders

This is crazy to know:
On Nov 9 the LEM BigBite 12 Meat Grinder was on sale for $274.99 at amazon. What an incredible deal. Had to be a pricing mistake.

You can see history here.

I have the LEM .75 or #12 grinder big bite. So far I've ground up 4 deer and two hogs. It took all I could throw at it and did not slow down. I just have to make sure that I lubricate the plastic bushing with food grade oil.

Ok...so I just ground an additional 46 lbs of grind. It was partially frozen and for the first grind I could not keep up my my LEM. It is a .75 horse and it goes through the chunks like butter. Now for the second grind, it was slower but not unreasonable. My old grinder was a 1200 watt grinder and it would do the first grind with the course plate with some pushing and I only did it once, but I tried to grind the meat for a finer grind and it was impossible.

I am happy that I have the .75 LEM and look forward to using it for years to come.

I still have 2/3 of the deer left to process and will finish this tomorrow...but I should have around another 10-12 lbs of meat to grind when its all said and done.
