I would also love to try one, a wood saddle.

You have the pleated one from CGM, right?

Or does anyone have a pleated saddle they could bring?

I heard that brand saddles are terrible and are typically avoided by the Michigan crowds… :sweatsmile:

I know @DanO has one, but if he isn’t gonna go, y’all let me know and I’ll see what I can do to get something up there.

If you don’t mind a large platform that doesn’t fold completely flat, you’ll love the onyx. The thing bites the tree rock solid. The post stays tight so it isn’t rattling around and it’s plenty of foot space and the angled edges aren’t as exaggerated as the seeker. I am about to buy a second one for presets

To be honest, I decided on the x- wing and that's what I used every hunt so I'm not sure if I'm missing out or like a big platform or what. Probably wouldn't want anything smaller lol. I've got a mission I haven't even tried, really. I think I put on a tree in my yard for a few minutes is all. The angled edges appeal to me probably in the same way the x- wing does, I did lean 90% of the time

For something small and light, you’d be hard pressed to beat the Fix from Lonewolf. I’ve tried so many platforms and that’s still my favorite overall platform but that Onyx is nice for all day sits. Personally I’ll be running the new platform steps from Bullman for the super majority of my hunts this year. But I do have a couple spots that I’m leaving presets at and I’m gonna hang the two Onyx platforms in those locations so I’m not walking out with anything but my bow and my SRT kit
 
Does anyone know @wabasis? I know he came last year, lives pretty close to me in Greenville. I haven't bumped into him over at the state game area. Also sort of odd his name doesn't come up in the list for a mention ... I know he didn't post much, just curious

Haven't been on here in quite a while. I may be able to go on the 13th. If I am able to go maybe we could carpool if you want to?
 
Looks like things got moved around. I'll be there. But won't be able to stay to long. Gonna try to get there a little early.
