It’s was 55 at the 2022 saddle hunter meet up we were all in long sleeves and hats lol..
But no we don’t get “brisk” but a couple times all winter and rarely ever is it cool if fall.
Enter late Feb nor'easter .....oh look...we just so happen to have wood saddle hoodies for sale. U a trickster ....u guys need to keep an eye on him

Very glad I went to this and tried out the Latitude 2 panel that @DanO brought. Just bought one over Memorial Day weekend and it is amazing! So whoever the guy was from Saint Johns who was interested in my Mantis, send me a PM!
Was it Jeff? He's the other guy with a red shirt and black shorts in the pictures, he does live in St. John's. I don't think he's actually on here, he's a friend of wabasis

I’m not sure, I’m horrible with names lol! I don’t know why I didn’t grab his contact info. @wabasis shoot me a PM if your buddy still wants my Mantis saddle.

@movehuntir and @boyne bowhunter , we just gotta get the consensus. I'm open to meeting up your way, especially if we could do a camp out. There's a lot of members farther south, it could be a hard sell. I'm personally pretty flexible and don't mind a drive, or too hang out and talk hunting/ gear/ whatever

New to the forum. Still tryen to figure out how everything works. Wife and I are both hoping to get saddles before the season. I have a lone wolf climber that I love but it eliminates a lot of great trees bc of branches.
What is needed is pretty straight forward, but it sounds like which one or style is more of a personal preference and takes some trial and error.
I was wondering if there was anyone near Oakland County that would be willing to meet up sometime (soonish) to let us try some stuff? Can bribe with beer. Willing to drive a little ways if needed.
Cheers!

Weldabeast is right, that's your best bet. DanO has 15-20 different saddles in store to try

If u live within 2 hr drive i don't know why u wouldn't make the pilgrimage to saddle mecca ....its 16.5hr for me but I'll make it up there 1 way out another

Awesome thanks! We'll be there first thing on Saturday.
What is the saddle mecca? Jay's in Gaylord?

As posted by @Weldabeast above, @DanO is the proprietor of Eastern Woods Outdoors in Lapeer. I've never been to the store personally but I've spent some money with @DanO over the years. :tearsofjoy: I've also met @DanO several times at Michigan get togethers and you'd be hard pressed to find a better human being.
