Milkweed dispenser

So I purchased the rubber coin holders, but dang those things have a rubber smell on them like no other. I'm a scent freak and yes I still hunt the wind, but does this concern anyone else? Has anyone had success on eliminating the smell of those things? I tried soaking them in baking soda & water for a day; seemed to help some, but you can still smell them
It's probably gonna be the same as certain rubber boot soles. That smell will eventually go away but it may take a couple years.
Ive had minimal luck reducing the rubber smell even with ozone. Seems like it just takes time.
Leave 'em in the pods. Trust me.

I use a rubber medical glove, stuff the finger and tie it then cut it off. Make a small slit in the end and it only lets small amounts out at once. Not to mention it packs super easy and quiet

If you don’t mind me asking what kinda work you do for a living lol. Jk

I stuff my pants cargo pocket full of loose fluff. I use it by the handful, not little bits at a time. Is interesting to see the different drifts each will take when let go from the same area at the same time. It can be a real eye opener.
Milkweed grows everywhere here so I just reload on the go.

I am going to have to second @Allegheny Tom 's method of using rubber bands around the pods. He's been preaching it for a year and I was a little skeptical. I assumed the pods wouldn't be very durable and would just make a mess, get lost etc. But I've been using the pods he sent me and it works awesome. The floaters are in much better shape and float better right out of the pod and the pods have been suprisingly durable.

I highly recommend occasionally releasing multiple floaters. It really helps to see our true scent cone. Its crazy how sometimes 1 or 2 floaters go awry from the rest. Those wayward floaters represent our odor.
Puts a huge question mark on the "just hunt the wind" theory.
Not many guys really know what the wind is doing.

But no way would I stuff loose floaters in my pockets. Makes a mess in the washing machine...cause you will never pick all the clinging floaters from your pocket before you wash those clothes.

I just washed camo on Monday. I told myself, check all your pockets!!!!! I washed two pods I was using last year. I hand wash so it wasn't a big deal. The pods are super durable, but they can't be washed :(
