Muddy Pro 1 Stick mods w/ amsteel

I’m modding one of my muddy pros for 1 sticking, cutting it down to 16” and putting some double steps on it with an aider off the bottom...

my question is if I’m wanting to replace the rope (it was getting old and frayed up) with amsteel should I get a full bury of 3/16” or 1/4”?

Thinking I’ll have a loop on the anchor end that I put around the cleats bolts inside the stick rather than messing with a knot...

Found a post that said 1/4 inch will work without the bury.
Just finished it up, Brummel loop through the cleat Bolt then through the whole works perfect!

5/32" full bury slipped for my 220lb self on the factory cleats. 3/16" full bury was money with the muddy's. Upgraded the Harken 150 and have been good with as small as 1/8" bury but still going to use the 3/16" just to feel warm and fuzzy.

What did you upgrade your Harken 150 to?

Correct, removed muddy cleats and installed a 150. Muddy works totally fine but didn't grab solid on anything less than 3/16" full bury amsteel. 8mm accessory cord worked also. But the harken or Schafer work better on smaller ropes imho.
