Muddy Pro Sticks didn’t impress me

I've had to reassemble all the muddy sticks I purchased. Nothing too big of a deal, but there is always a bolt in the wrong place or the nylon washers are in the wrong order on the bolt.

I was told recently by my local bow shop that Muddy now owns Hawk. Hope the Heliums don't start having quality issues.

I just got a set of 4. QC on the assembly is crap. And they rattle a lot. I can probably fix them, but makes you wonder where else quality is lacking.

I just got my set of 3 Hawks and noticed two of the stand offs were loose and rattling a bit out of the box. Easy fix. Other than that everything seems to be solid.

Update— Got my replacement sticks in the mail and I am still not impressed with the quality control. Washers missing, rubber pieces on bark biter missing, every bark biter where they put hole for bolt is scuffed up and covered with black marker (probably from manufacturing) the problem is some have excessive metal and I can’t get bolt through. Bolts not tight again, how hard is it to tighten the bolts down? Clearly I can make them work and thank god I still have the ones I’m returning so I can piece together one working set with all the parts needed.

I just got one stick in after splitting up a set with a couple guys on here. Everything on mine looks good. But they definitely didn’t milk the cover of the rope down over the core. I cut the melted end off and milked the cover down. Cut off over 6” of cover and melted the end back down. That should fix your problem.
Thanks for the tip. Took 5mins and they stay a lot tighter on the tree now...IMG_20180803_161825014.jpeg
