My initial thoughts on the Yarak

I had to go with webbing bridge on my Kestrel last-minute and I was hesitant at first, but I am actually stoked about it now. I practiced with ropes a few times, but the Samson shortage kept me from getting my saddle unless they went for webbing. I will have it by Wednesday, versus October. Any disadvantages besides being fixed? Mine will have carabiner anyway so that’s not an issue. Does it glide as well as ropes? Feel strong? “Cash money” pretty much says is all, but I’m compelled to spelunking.

FWIW, I have a Kestrel that came with a Predator bridge and the only mod I’ve done to the whole setup is replace the bridge with tubular webbing. I find it slides through a carabiner easier than rope and once I had the length I knew worked for me, a fixed webbing bridge was perfect.

Worth plenty to me.

You can get a kite with a fixed adjustable webbing bridge. You can even get the raptor buckles on the leg straps if you want. They'll charge you extra for both.

Yes the webbing glides very easily through the carabiner. After having two saddles with an adjustable webbing bridge it kind of stresses me out thinking about what I'll do when those webbing bridges wear out. I never wanna go back to a rope or amsteel bridge

Nice writeup. On a side note, does anyone have a link to a DIY adjustable webbing bridge? I'm sure there's one floating around the site i'm just too lazy to search for it :D

You could easily make your own with 2 rated tri glides and use a sewing awl to stitch folds on the ends to prevent pull through or just tie knots there.

Where's everyone sourcing the tri glides from? I found the other thread with the link to paragear but that site looks sketchy af lol.

Definitely old school on the website design! I have not ordered from them yet, but they do list ratings on everything. Those can be hard to find on other sites and gear.

Also looking for details, I half tried to figure out the right configuration but was unsuccessful...?

Way good, Murph! I knew I needed that saddle the first time I saw it. I really don’t have any doubt it will impress me to the point of forgetting about the price.
