My phantom came today...

So I’m new to this saddle thing. I’ve been watching video after video and almost pulled the trigger on the mantis, heard about the phantom so I waited. However, over the last month or so I played Around on a platform with a HSS harness, makeshift bridge and tethered to a tree. Just to try and get a feel for how things worked, how I’d react to having such a small platform, how I’d shoot off of it, and if I even felt comfortable... so I got a picture from my wife of a Tethrd box sitting at the front door and managed to get out of work for the rest of the day and rushed home... I pulled it out of the box and fit it to me, and spent the next 3.5 hrs just sitting in a tree in my backyard. this is the most unbelievably comfortable hunting system I have ever used and it’s not even close! In all honesty, I have no saddle experience to compare it to other saddles, but this is a product that blows my mind on comfort. I got the entire thing set up, ehh maybe 5-7’ in a tree and loved it. Shot out of it, swung in it, tried to fall out of it... the phantom is a serious upgrade to my hunting repertoire and I can’t thank all you guys enough... Congrats to the guys at Tethrd and thank all of y’all for sharing the information with me to get started!

I am waiting for mine,i am in the exact same position as you. First saddle ever,i waited for the phantom to be released. I should get mine when the 2nd batch comes in. I ordered some rope for DRT climbing as well. I think someone will be spending a good amount of time in the trees very soon!!!

I missed the first day and ordered first thing on the 27th. Just a confirmation of the order through email. 2 season saddle hunter here. I started with a Areohuntuer Kestral. Then last yr a Mantis that i waited literally months to get. I have a pig hunt in FL in 3 wks. Starting to wonder if its gonna get here in time. Would be awesome to make a pig the first kill from the Phantom. Took an 8pt last yr on the last day of bow from the Mantis.

Hopefully it will be there in time. I think it’s worth the wait if it doesn’t.

Yup i hope so fling. I was in early on on the Mantis. Just a little gun-shy from all the delays on the Mantis. Absolutely loved it. Still do. I think you guys have a great company and i will continue to support you.

I totally understand that! I know Ernie and crew have really worked hard at fixing the supply chain and so far it’s running a lot smoother this time. Thanks for the support

Great idea, get right up there with the squirrlies.

They’re eating everything my feeder spits out!!! They gotta go. Plus it’s valuable time in the setup before season starts

Got mine in as well. I really like the design. It's not groundbreaking IMO, as both the H2 and the kestrel use the same football shape, but it is definitely an upgrade over the mantis. I do really like the comfort channels, the utilibridge and the large linesmens loops, these are all definitely unique and really improve the performance in the stand.
My only gripe is that the quality is slightly lacking IMO. I had to take a lighter to almost ever thread ending and every cut of webbing as it came frayed out of the box. now that I have done this, it's good to go, but I would have thought it was something that would have been taken care of beforehand.

As of right now I am going to keep my flex and use it during colder weather hunts, but I definitely will be using the phantom any time I think I may be sweating.

Same experience out of the box...hmm, lotta damn strings on this thing that need tending to! I sat in it for 10–minutes so far and it’s damn comfortable. I think I’ll still keep my H2 but I’ll be spending quite a bit of time in the Phantom this weekend and we’ll see if I change my mind.

I got mine today also.

I really like the new leg strap position and hook up. Super easy.

The lineman’s loops are awesome! Way nicer to climb with. Distributes your weight evenly.

The bridge is nice the prussic does get pretty tight when weighted and takes a little work to loosen it up again.

It’s very comfortable. No hip pinch. Very pleased with that. I had terrible hip pinch in the mantis.

Didnt seem to ride up at all for the 20 min sit in my yard.

walking in it I couldn’t even tell I had it on. Tightening down the bridge really helps it stay put.

Overall I really like it and glad I made the plunge. The only thing I am not so sure about is the comfort channels I tried them out in different positions and I just don’t know if I will ever mess with them.

Also, I currently wear 38” waist jeans and have about 4-5” left in the adjustable side of the raptor buckle. I think 40” waist is a hard stop. The bridge loops are right at my sides. I think 34”-36” or so waist might be the sweet spot for the saddle....

Just my thoughts....

Ok y’all. I think I’m in love. It really really is unbelievable. I thought my first sit in a lock on vs a climber was a game changer.... this really tops everything I’ve tried to this point!!!
