My grommet idea has worked well, but changed out the binding grommet with a paracord ( slip bobber knot ) to bind the larger one.
Also covered ropeman/bridge biner with an old sock . I injected a hem and a corded shock tye to secure to tether.

The carabiner/ropeman cover has been on my to-do list for awhile. I need to knock that out.

Is the cover for less visibility, potential noise, or something else? I like the idea.

It does both,
I didn't like the results of paint or dip wearing off or fumes from that choice.

More for camouflage than anything. I worry that a buck will come in and see it shining in the sun.

A quick way for anyone maybe wanting to try are those draw string sun glass bags. Don’t have my rope man yet so not sure it fits but that was the first that came to mind when I saw it just cut the bottom open. Or if you need bigger a lot of ski goggles come with the same thing obviously just bigger.
Great idea red

I use a child's sock with a small hole cut in it for my ropeman cover - to reduce glare. pack of 12 (6 pairs) less then 2.00 at wally world

I’m surely not knocking this idea, but about the last thing I need is to add more stuff to get tangled up, wrapped up, or caught up in my ropeman or carabiner or hung up on any other equipment. The single biggest problem I’ve been facing is the complication of soooooo much stuff to keep organized.
