Need people to post positive pro hunting comments

We really need to get as many people to spread this around as much as we can. Cannot let the anti hunters have a louder voice than us.

Think about it - nobody cares more about the preservation of our natural resources than hunters and fisherman. Hunters and fisherman love the forests, waters and the wildlife and we are part of this ecosystem - we respect it, we protect it and we honor it by being a part of it. We love it so much that we work to ensure that it endures, for ourselves and for the wildlife.

Unfortunately this is the point that the anti's fail to see. All you have to do is look at increased populations of game animals and preservation of habitat that's been achieved by hunting organizations.

I'm old enough to remember hunting in Michigan in the 60's when just seeing deer tracks were considered an accomplishment and everyone begged to know where you saw them. Wild Turkeys??? They can't live this far north, at least that's what we thought because there weren't any around, Bears? They were nothing but a nuisance and were rarely if ever seen. Without Ducks Unlimited habitat preservation efforts waterfowl would be all but extinct.

We who enjoy the outdoors and pursuit of these game animals are the stewards behind making sure there are continued healthy populations of these animals we care about. Something the anti's just can't seem to comprehend.

I strongly support increasing hunting and fishing opportunities on public land around the United States. Hunting in particular helps feed families, control and balance game populations, and enable folks to enjoy the great outdoors as humans have done for thousands of years here.
 
We need to make this a competition between other sites. To get more people involved. PK on The Hunting Beast brought it to my attention. I also posted it on Archery talk.


Right now SaddleHunter has the most replies by one or 2. The Beast is second with 6. Archery Talk is in 3rd with 5.

Its a competiton where truly everybody wins.

Biologists are on our side. From what I understand they have a public hearing sometime during the week were hunters (working people) have a hard time making it and activists (non working people) can show up in droves.

The biologists tried explaining but facts and truth hard to swallow for some people

It was over here at eglin last summer and there was alot of hunters that showed up, the activists made a couple fair points but most of there stuff was related to animal abuse and the biologists had a really tough time debating the video.

I'm sure they know alot more than I do. I don't predator hunt so I don't really care, but I definitely am against any type of restrictions towards public land hunting or hunting for that matter

Not sure how things are there in Florida but here in Michigan, Michigan Bow Hunters Assn. has representatives at every DNR and NRC meeting to be the voice of Michigan's hunting archers. To monitor and support, which ever the case may be, any proposals/studies/discussions regarding anything related to hunting, primarily bow hunting. MBH has even written legislation that has become law in the State. The biggest problem is, there are over 250,000 bowhunters in the state and there's less than 5000 members, heck there may be half of that number of bowhunters that are serious enough about supporting bowhunting in the state to join. I mean really, it's $25 a year....

Done. Put in my two cents. Below is the comments I left.

I fully support opening up all national wildlife refuges to hunting and fishing. These sports have been instrumental in protecting and preserving wildlife and the Flora and fauna of this country. Sportsman of this country naturally want to preserve all that they love, especially the wildlife and the environment. All animal populations benefit from these activities, including the game species. Without the financial donations of sportsman there would be far fewer preserved land and animals. The pitman-bowes taxes as well as private donations of money and volunteer time has had significant impact for the good for our public lands and all should be open to hunting and fishing. Private conservation groups such as the Rocky mountain Elk foundation, pheasants forever, ducks unlimited and the National Wild Turkey federation, just to name a few, have done a great service to all wildlife and to the benefit of all citizens. Which speaks to the significance of hunting, fishing AND conservation. These activities go hand in hand with conservation.
Any opportunity to open up public land for all citizens, but especially for hunting and fishing is the right thing to do for all.
 
I made a comment earlier today. The number of hunters is down and we need to be vocal or we’ll lose it. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
