I sold a set of 4 leverage sticks to a buddy that no longer hunts. I had converted them to the lone wolf button, but now he is selling them back to me. I wanted to convert the lone wolf button to a cam cleat. I've looked but all I see is ones with 300lb or less rating. I don't want to be up a tree and use sub-par equipment. I'm sure someone on here knows where I can source strong cam cleats.

I would like to know also.
The Muddy cams are special made for them. The sticks are grooved out underneath the cam.
I used these last year with zero failure. I do tie an overhand knot as a backup.

I just used Ronstan size small on my heliums with 7mm cord, so far so good but they are definitely not time tested.

I’ve been thinking about modding my helium’s with cam cleats. I’ve been wandering how well they would stack with the camcleats. Anyone have any idea?

I turned my middle stick the opposite way, then I lowered the top steps so that they would not be catching on brush and cut the top post off . So my middle stick has a 4in shorter step but they stack fine that way.

Is there any pics of the heliums with the cam cleat mod? As far as how to mount them. What hardware is needed?

after using 3 sticks and a 5 step to get 20 feet, I'm going to keep the versa buttons as I have 1/2" amsteel that is quite useful in securing the stick to the tree. I sold the 5 step aider and will move to a 3 step aider or a one step aider. I just don't need the cam cleat as the versa buttons work so well.

I don’t think the Muddy sticks are rated over 300lb anyway. 350 at most. They’re sticks, not stands, so 300lb is more than enough if you yourself weigh less than 250. You’re only standing on them for a minute or less.

The 750lb rated ones are advertised on amazon for only 300lbs. Are these the same and amazon just botched the description?

They are 750lb minimum breaking strength (MBS) and 300lb working load limit. Forget the MBS, worry about "Max Working Load".

Lots of other brands out there on Amazon and eBay. Anyone have any luck with those? Does anyone have a good way to test these for our uses? I'll purchase a few and have them sent directly to anyone that wants to tackle this.

So I am not the only one that is more confused than ever. I researched harken and ronstan for 2 hours. All websites and retailers had different numbers. I am 250. What would be the best one?
