New bridge necessary?

Recon - same idea as above though this one is fixed.
Edit forgot to attach recon pic.

Be careful though, if you get in a tough spot somehow it's always nice to be able to tether in and if your already using your bridge you could get in a tricky situation and may need to be unattached. Practice.

I replaced mine with Sterling TRC 6mm for the hitch and Oplux as the bridge. I just re-did it this year with some leftover Oplux. If Oplux isn't available, the Rescuetech is available.
You just use fisherman’s knots for continuous loops for hitches?

I like eye to eye hitch cords sewn made from reliable sources if you're willing to spend.
To tie an eye to eye, depending on the size, figure about 36 - 46in of cord. Learn to tie poachers knots on each end.
Scwabisch hitch, distel hitch also great.

Double fisherman's will allow you to tie a continous loop and those you can tie a traditional prusik.

Always weight your knots at ground level first.

Tails I use 5x the cords diameter or more length to be safe.

for the bridge, yes.....for tether and linemans i tie trc to the carabiner using scaffold knots, so each end is attached and it is not a loop

i'm a rightie...i put the bulky stuff to the left so that when i rotate for a shot i am less likely to hit it with my tether carabiner....i'd reverse for leftie

on my right side, i have a figure 8 on a bight and that is brought over the saddle bridge loops twice to make almost a prusik (halfway between prusik and girth hitch...2 wrap to a side prusik instead of 3 wraps which grabs too hard to adjust)

on the left side, i use trc 6mm. i do the same 2 wrap prusik around the bridge loops of the saddle, and then i do a full 3 wrap prusik on the bridge rope, i terminate that with double fishermans to join trc two ends back to themselves

the end of the bridge line is tied back to the left hand bridge loop using an overhand on a bight, that way if the trc hitch fails i still have a backup

i do everything follow through/tracing method so that i only cut the oplux/rescuetech one time when done and only cut trc once when done

before i am done and cut it, i hang with full body weight on the saddle bridge using a pull up bar and adjust my lengths until they are about right after they settle in, i use an aluminum knitting needle to loosen and move rope through the knots until everything is how i'd like

then i cut and dress my ends with shrink tubing and super glue (technora doesn't really melt)

full procedure takes around 1 hour because i'm ocd about bridge, tether, and linemans lanyard

my saddle is packed away for my first hunt tomorrow, or i'd attach pictures now

will try to remember to do that soon

the sewn eyes would work if you are using a carabiner on your bridge, if not i don't see how you could do it, you could use a sewn loop, but that requires a lot of careful twisting and might not end up the right length for you

Correct eye to eye to attach to carabiner. Fixed bridge and adjustable like you mentioned continous loop for sure.

with the double fishermen's knots tied with trc, i bent the tag ends towards each other to overlap and then tied together with some strong thread.....keeps them tidy and more secure

What dont you guys like Amstel for your bridge? I have an Amsteel bridge on my Cruzr. Im a big guy (AKA fat ass) I want the safest thing possible and I don't like how hard it is to adjust my bridge anyway. Should I consider switching it out?

How many times do you see the question like 'is this normal' or see fraying or the tapered bury looking like the rope is frayed. Seems pretty often to me, and although in most cases it's not a safety concern. I personally, don't want to question it. So I choose to use ropes that don't wear as easily. Many people like amsteel I'm just not one of them.

Also the bump of the bury is annoying.

I think it was a marketing ploy playing to the "...I need the lightest setup..." crowd. There must be a good reason why professional arborists and rock climbers don't use the stuff...

It's not even that light.

But duuuude, I saved a half a gram by swapping to it...
